The setting could not be more breathtaking at The Westin Paris – Vendome, located in the heart of Paris near the Louvre and Place Vendome. Guests unwind in luxurious 19th-century rooms that capture French elegance. Every well-thought detail wows. A few favorites: the purple velvet banquettes in Le First restaurant, the cocoon treatment areas in the on-site spa and the gorgeous salon-sized rooms that visitors will call their temporary home.

Rooms
The Westin Paris – Vendome keeps the romance of Paris alive in 428 rooms including 80 suites that ooze 19th century French flair. Room sizes and configurations vary from floor to floor, as do some of the amenities, including ceiling height, balconies, bathrooms and views. Great location
Arirved early(approx 9:30am) was able to get in to the room, a little smell but they all are in europe, and unpack. No coffee in room. Location is just around the corner from the Louve putting it in easy walking to all other points of interest. Meny good places to eat with in a few blocks of Hotel. We are 75 and 78 yrs old couple and will return on our next trip to Paris. Dick W

Second Honeymoon
Great location! Everything was wonderful. Very clean? The only reason we didn't give the room comfort a perfect score was because the heat just wasn't warm enough, we called to have it checked and serviced but it never got warmer. We also called for a spacer heater twice but it was never brought up to us so that was disappointing and we know they had them because there were a couple left outside the rooms of others. Other then that it was wonderful!! Would recommend this hotel!

Take the L' Open Tour bus, it's a perfect why to get around and see the sites. Its a great value and worth paying a little extra for the two day pass since there are four tours to take all around Paris.

Great Paris location
My wife and I spent 4 nights at the Westin and enjoyed it. The location is simply fantastic. The room we had was very large and comfortable. The staff was also very friendly and, though I speak some French, were all fluent in English. I would very much recommend this hotel and given this is our 4th time in Paris, we have a sense as to what should be expected. This is better than most.

Couples Paris Retreat
We could not have been more pleased with our stay at this Westin. The rooms are large for European standards and well appointed. Gorgeous chandelier and iPod docking station. The room was spotlessly cleaned every day. It's located literally across he street from the louvre, central to anywhere you want to go in Paris. Amazing restaurants are just steps away. We would absolutely stay here again and are recommending it to friends. Have a glass of champagne in the fabulous courtyard. Only negative- the concierge staff not overly helpful. Ask the front desk staff instead if you need anything.

If you need a break from French food, try Gambino's just up the street. Amazingly authentic Italian intimate restaurant with incredible food. Try their bolognese pasta and pizzas.

1st time to Paris
Location, location, location
This hotel is perfect for a trip to Paris- it is located close to so many things- Louvre, Notre Dame, Museum D'Oresay, Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysesses, Metro. When booking your room, get one above the 2nd floor- if there is a party going on in the ballroom, the bass of the music will be thumping into your room until the wee hours- or just pack ear plugs. The hotel is gorgeous. The rooms are comfortable. Go somewhere else for breakfast- 4 euros for a crossaint is outrageous. We found yummy one 3 for 2.5 euros not to far from the hotel. Pairs is such a great city to walk and this hotel is in an ideal location to set off from each day. There is also a tour comapny two blocks down (on Rivoli)which we used to go see Normandy.

If you are up for lots of walking, skip the Tourist Metro Pass and only buy Metro passes as you need them or a book of 10. We ended up walking most of the city pretty easily and saw EVERYTHING in terms of major sites. Only used Metro for trip to and from Airport, Versaille and Montmarte. Walked everywhere else, and felt like we soaked up so much more of the city.

Special occasion splurge
This hotel has to be in the best location in Paris. We walked everywhere, more than 30 miles in 6 days. We could see the Louvre, gardens and Eiffel Tower from our window, which was spectacular. Make sure you request a room with a view or you'll may overlook an unused, turf-covered courtyard. The concierge service was great – they were able to get us reservations at a nearby bistro that was otherwise "booked." And they upgraded our show tickets. Be sure you tip them well if you use their services. Hotel amenities were overpriced, so I suggest leaving the hotel everyday and find yourself a boulangerie for breakfast. You'll pay half the price and the quality will be much better. Our fav was Eric Kayser, which is right around the corner from the hotel. We were there in early September and there seemed to be weddings, bah mitzvahs, business parties, etc just about every night. So the lobby, restaurant, etc were always a zoo. But the rooms were quiet and comfortable. The housekeeping staff was extremely noisy and disruptive. Slamming doors, yelling at one another down the hallway early in the morning. So you may have to make a phone call to the manager to request some quiet time. Overall, this hotel offered us the perfect Parisian luxury to park ourselves for the evening and it was a great way to start our daily adventures.

Overall, a nice hotel with comfortable
Overall, a nice hotel with comfortable beds and perfect location for visiting the museums or shopping at St. Honore. The size of room varies and it is best to book the deluxe room or above which provides more space, contemporary design and better amenities. The receptionists and concierge are helpful.

Noise, Noise, Noise
Wonderful employees, clean and attractive rooms, perfect location. We will never stay here again. There is no dampening device on any doors. The maids started at 7:30 in the morning and went to 10:00 slamming doors every 5 minutes. My husband and I were there for 9 days and never once were able to sleep past 7:30 in the morning. We actually started looking for some place to purchase ear plugs. This is a detail that should not exist in a hotel like this one.

THE BEST VIEW IN PARIS
Upon arrival we were given two gorgeous high ceiling rooms with a view onto the Rue de Castiglione. We had requested non-smoking rooms which these were, however, both rooms had a working fireplace and that was not going to work for us. We eventually ended up in the Suite Royale with a 270 degree view of Paris from the Place Vendome to the Louvre over the whole Jardins de Tuileries with smack in your face views of the Musee D'Orsay and Eiffel Tower...we could even see the top 1/3rd of the Arc de Triumph! The Suite was huge with 6 large french doors and two bedrooms and 2 baths and a huge living room. The entire outside perimeter was a thin balcony overlooking the above sights. THE ABSOLUTE BEST! The staff was great. The food was good. If you can splurge this is the place! From this hotel you can walk to every tourist site in central Paris except MONTMARTRE which is uphill anyway.

Short walk from hotel
My 8 year old niece loved the caroussel and the trampoline jumping pit in the Jardins de Tuileries just outside the hotel. Favorite museums were the L'Orangerie ( just 100 yards into the Jardin ) and the Musee Rodin (although the garden is being renovated at the moment )

luxurious hotel for reasonable rates
Loved the hotel, especially the location. Have traveled to Paris 3 previous times and this was the best trip mainly due to the proximity of the hotel to the Louvre and Metro. Was very short walking distance to 2 metros which was helpful since the wife is pregnant. We saw pretty much all the major attractions and especially enjoyed the Palace at Versailles. Was very easy and inexpensive to take the RER to Versailles, I highly recommend it.

Paris is insanely expensive, period. In the fancier restaurants, breakfast can run up to $75 for 2, even coffee/capp runs around $7. Recommend hitting up the small grocery stores and bakeries to get baguettes, fruit, and pastries for inexpensive meals. Cheap American type "fast food" is not available, so to limit your meal expenditures by buying from small markets and going on a picnic. Also, pick up bottled water for cheap as well to carry in a backpack during your trip around Paris--water can cost $2-4 more at the sights.
