Secret de Paris invites you to enjoy the unusual experience of traveling while staying still. You are welcomed into a dream-like Paris where monuments fade away only to come sharply back into focus, colors blend as your perception becomes disoriented by the blur of images. In the intimacy of your room, you suddenly become the privileged guest of the Musee d'Orsay, the Moulin-Rouge, the Eiffel Tower or the Garnier Opera House, each delicately evoked by an innovative and amazing approach to design and staging. Extend the daydream thanks to a series of poetic enigmas dispersed round the hotel in its atmosphere of warmth and charm. Listen as it whispers delightful and engaging stories about Paris, its rich history and its glorious monuments. As a privileged spectator, the poetic enigmas reveal to you the precious keys to the discovery and understanding of the city.
The "Musee d'Orsay" room Under the gaze of the monumental station clock, a few, artfully-chosen photographs are a reminder of the Orsay's splendid statuary. As you soak in the artistic atmosphere, in soothing hues of Grey and beige, you realize your wish has come true. Tonight, you're a privileged guest inside the famous museum, a temple to the glory of 19th century art. The "Opera de Paris" room Welcome backstage... to the inner sanctum, where the corps de ballet goes through its paces. Over the bed is the Opera Garnier's trademark oeil-de-boeuf window; underfoot, solid oak parquet. The room is delightfully dressed: mirrors, a ballet bar and satin pumps all add to the ambiance. Go on; live out your dreams...The "Moulin Rouge" room A large-as-life poster from the famous cabaret, the flame-red drapes, and the tip of a windmill's sail... together, they conjure up the Paris of oh-la-la. This is a room that oozes romance - and makes you feel as though the Cancan girls might come dancing through the door at any moment...The "Eiffel Tower" room From the marl-Grey carpet and headboard of silvered wood struts, to the bathroom's midnight blue ambiance, every detail has been chosen to suggest the fin-de-siecle elegance of Eiffel's Iron Lady. You'll appreciate the harmonious lines - and the spectacular illusion of being high above the city. The "Trocadero" room In a celebration of the Palais de Chaillot, this room echoes the high chic of the 1930s, featuring stained glass detailing above the bed, an elegant palette of black and gold and an art deco-inspired carpet. Close your eyes and you can picture the play of the fountains in the Jardins du Trocadero...The "Artist's Studio" room What could be more Parisian than sleeping under the eaves of an artist's attic studio? (The hotel is talking famous artist, obviously.) With blank canvases propping up your pillow, and a carpet splashed with vibrant (and make-believe) gouache, it's a playful nod at the artistic spark that has always burned brightly in the City of Light. Find your own inspiration in this, the hotel's most spacious bedroom.
The hotel also provides Dry cleaning, Library, Lobby and Reception.
You can enjoy a breakfast at the hotel for 18.

Boutique and Unique

Gosh, this is a hotel with a difference! Very stylish, quite small, intimate surroundings. Staff were fantastic (friendly and genuinely interested in us having a good time in Paris). Rooms (we stayed in the Moulin Rouge one) weren't massive, but certainly adequate for a couple of nights. Shower only, but some rooms do have baths I think. Bar was limited, but hey, you have the whole of Paris on your doorstep!

Great hotel

Outside of city centre but some lovely restaurants nearby. No real bar at hotel was a downside. Stayed in Eiffel Tower room but there was no real privacy as see-through glass door. Would stay here again for a night or two.

The non-Secret is that this is a great place to stay

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in early April and had a fantastic time with what became my fiancee while on the trip. The hotel staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The rooms were smallish, but you can't really expect them to be huge in boutique hotels in Europe. The bathroom was actually really nice, with a jacuzzi like tub which was great. It was really perfect for our needs that were little more than a place to sleep and a place to shower. We did do the breakfast buffet in the morning, it was really simple and basic, which was fine for us, but if you are looking for a fuller breakfast you'll need to go elsewhere. It was pretty close to a major mass transit hub, so we were able to take the subway most places, which as New Yorker's works out best for us anyway. All in all a really cute friendly place to stay for a few days. We would certainly stay there again if in Paris.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

The major transit hub a few blocks away ( St Lazare ) makes getting everywhere easy ( including stuff outside of Paris ). Master the transit map before visiting and use this to save time and your feet!
