Radisson Blu Hotel, Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

Attractive hotel, comfortable room. It ends there. 1> This hotel required a credit card for potential charges . This is normal. What is not normal is that they actually charged $50 on the card at check in. Although they cancelled it after check out , it doesn't remove the foreign charge on my credit card. 3%. Unacceptable. 2 This hotel has implemented the 'Green' lighting program which requires one to insert their electronic key into a receptacle . Would have been nice if they had told us as we checked in late at night, could not figure this out in a pitch black room, called the front desk, who offerred no suggestions and said they would send someone- they never did. Another guest showed us what to do. 3. Airport shuttle - not really if you are going to terminal #1 - especially on weekends and bank holidays.

Needed a last minute hotel and this was it!! Close to the airport, clean rooms, friendly staff. Restaurant was nice. Bar was nice. Having a shuttle to and from the airport was very nice.

The shower fell off the wall. You had to put the coffee pot on the floor to be able to plug it in. Shuttle service to the airport was terrible. The shuttle dropped everyone off in one place and you had to walk blocks to your terminal.

If you are driving, this hotel is a mess to find as it is located about 10 minutes outside of CDG. Also, the hotel charges 11 Euros for parking which is a bit of a steal considering there is nothing around it. The rooms are pleasant, the lobby inviting, HOWEVER, each floor has fire doors separating the sections of the hotels, and if your room is near one as was ours, they start slamming at 430AM as other guests start waking up. Finally, no in-room internet access (!!!!!) The recommendation is to spend a few extra Euros and select another hotel within the CDG property line.

Staff were courteous and helpful - for a Paris layover, the hotel is a worthwhile place - a little farther from the airport than other hotels, but in comparison to the cost of the nearer hotels it is good value - the shuttles run evry 15 minutes from 6 AM so we got to airport in plenty of time

If you have a very early flight, do not stay at this hotel! The shuttle bus starts too late to get you to the airport by two hours before your international flight. Indeed, if you find yourself needing to go to the airport early, it's a fine opportunity for the staff to make 20 Euros for their friends who drive unlicensed cabs (no receipt). Still worse, one staff member made it seem like the absence of an early shuttle was my problem, not that of the hotel! They are also a little pushy that you should eat at the hotel or otherwise purchase more of their services

A bunch of little unacceptable things added up to one big "NON!" for this hotel.

We chose the Radisson Blu, because of its proximity to the CDG airport. But our GPS could not locate it, so we returned our car to the rental company and took the hotel shuttle. It is really hard to figure out the access to the hotel! Although the room decor was lovely, the room itself smelled musty and the carpet was stained. The rooms only have wired internet access, and ours was out of order. There was no in-service menu in the room, so room service had to recite their offerings over the phone. The only plus side: the staff were pleasant and fluent in multiple languages. I am certainly glad we did not have to pay the 450 euros that was posted for the room. It is not worth it.

As you would expect from a major Hotel Chain next to an airport. All the obvious facilities very well laid out and a free shuttle bus to the airport. Staff friendly and helpful.

We arrived at the Raddison Blu tired at 8:30 pm, in preparation for our departure flight the next morning. Reception service was excellent and the room far exceeded our expectations. Every conceivable item to make our stay comfortable. Wonderful bed, great internet coneccion, real glass wine glasses and water glasses, ceramic coffee mugs, metal spoon, even things we didn't need (steam presser). This was a great stay
