French sculptor Argueyrolles, most notable for his work with iron, designed Paris Opera Grands Boulevards, an affordable hotel near the Paris Opera and former Paris Stock Exchange. The 31-room property favors opera-red fabrics, upholstery and rusted accents like the industrial reception desk. The breakfast room is more traditional in flavor, with bistro chairs and baskets filled with French favorites. Rooms manage Wi-Fi, satellite TV and a mini bar.

Paris Opera Grands Boulevards offers visitors all the best of Parisian life. With major department stores in the Opera District and lively theaters in the Stock Exchange nearby, the property engages both leisure and business travelers.

Parisians love their petit dejeuner, and nowhere is that more evident than the breakfast room at Paris Opera Grands Boulevards. The dining room captures French charm with its iron scroll bistro chairs, black-and-white photography and breakfast buffet served in dainty baskets and hot plates. Guests can also order room service.

Expect flashes of vibrant red in the 31 rooms at Paris Opera Grands Boulevards, where guests select from double or twin layouts. Iron headboards come with a unique red fabric curtain accent, a twist on the traditional structure, while terracotta tiles--positioned in diagonals--provide visual appeal to mustard-hued bathrooms. Regardless of the room type, guests at Paris Opera Grands Boulevards take advantage of amenities such as satellite TV, mini bar, safe, pay TV, Wi-Fi on request and air conditioning.

When I booked for this hotel amenities was included AC.[...] Well, there is none. Rooms smaller than you think (I have been in Paris several time and I know hotel rooms). No shower or bath tub just a curtain. Not enough towels for 2 people. Just dont stay there.

Terrible Place... Beware

Would not recommend Tue, Jul 6, 2010
The pictures are nothing like the real thing. There is NO Airconditioning, no free internet service, the room is so small I had a hard time finding a place for my suitcase, The bathroon is so small I had a hard time turning around in it. The shower is made for midgets. If you are 5 foot tall you cannot stand straight in it!

Cute boutique hotel!

Would recommend Mon, Sep 14, 2009
The hotel was beautifully decorated. The location was superb: just up the street from the Follies Bergere, next door to a supermarket and a bakery, and about 3 blocks from 2 Metro lines. There were several excellent restaurants on the same block. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. What got added on to the end of our stay (and we were not aware of this) was a city tax. Also, outgoing calls (even local and toll-free calls) get charged 1.10 euros. Overall, I would happily stay there again.

Any restaurant on the street (Geoffrey Marie) is superb. We tried the Japanese, Italian, and Mexican restaurants and they were fantastic!

Fair Price for an Average Hotel

Would recommend Mon, Sep 14, 2009
This hotel was in a solid location to walk to almost every major spot in the city. It is in a nice neighborhood, where you can feel pretty comfortable walking around at night. The bathroom was relatively large and new. However, the rooms were small (expected) and our AC did not work. We visited in late August and it was very warm in Paris that week. Solid sleep was very difficult to come by because of the heat in the room.

An okay place

Would recommend Sat, Aug 29, 2009
Extremely small room with a comfortable double bed. The air conditioning was "broken" in the entire hotel therefore it was quite hot. Great location in Paris with easy access to just about everywhere. The front desk clerks were all terrific! They were VERY helpful and spoke perfect English. The hotel breakfast was not worth the money. It was a very basic continental breakfast. All in all the hotel was clean and the maid staff tidied up our room and made our bed every day. The hotel was fine just to sleep, shower, and change then head out to beautiful Paris!

Time saver

1) Take the Paris Shuttle from the Airport to Hotel and on the return trip as well. The Paris Shuttle was on time and was very worth the money. 2)Learn a little bit of the language. 3)Buy the one day or two day subway pass. 4)And use the bathroom whenever you see one.

Good location, but no AC

Would recommend Tue, Aug 18, 2009
I stayed at the Grand Pavillion for 6 nights. Great location in the Opera district. Very convenient to Grand Pavillions metro station, which can you directly to Eiffle Tower. The hotel staff were very nice and accomodating. The rooms are extremely small. We are talking 300 sq ft, but remember this is Paris. This is an typical Parisien hotel. The bathroom was excellent, great shower. The only unfortunate part was the lack of Air conditioning. In August, the room temp at night got to be toooo hot to sleep. Had to open the windows, unbearable. Luckily I was outside the hotel room during most of my trip, so it wasn't a major concern, but if you have kids or large family, you may want to re-think this hotel. Location was the best thing about the hotel. No issues.

I can't Orbitz recommended this hotel

Would not recommend Tue, Aug 18, 2009
We checked in the hotel and had to stay there one night at least to sleep. Then we left as soon as we could make arrangements to find another hotel. I can't believe Orbitz endorsed this hotel. It was truly a dump. The a.c. hardly worked, things were broken in the bathroom, by the time we hoofed it out at 5pm the next day, our room wasn't even made up. It was equivalent to a clap trap US hotel in a bad neighborhood. I had to shell out another $1,000.00 to book another hotel. Thanks Orbitz, I will not trust you again.

Quaint - Good Location

Would recommend Mon, Jul 27, 2009
The hotel location was pretty good - centrally located so it's possible to walk to many sites. Also, very convenient to Metro stops. Overall cleanliness wasn't the best. The main reason for choosing this hotel was the price.
