Novotel Paris Bercy

The hotel was only a few minutes walk from a metro station, so we coul get around Paris easily. The staff were really frienly and helpful. There was a computer in the reception area for guests to use the internet free of charge.

Novotel is, of course, a chain. But it is a very good one. The location of this modern hotel, in one of the most modern neighborhoods in Paris, is convenient for business purposes: ten minute walk to the Gare de Lyon, and Convention Center, right in the Parc de Bercy for strolling, jogging, etc., next to the Palais Omnisport,a stone's throw from the Cinematheque, a lovely walk through the park and across the footbridge over the Seine to the French National Library (Bibliotheque Mitterand). It is also on the fastest Metro Line (No. 14, Bercy) making it a 10 minute metro ride to the heart of the right bank (Metro Pyramides). So, you can stay here for tourist purposes -- if you know how to use the Metro. Room and bathroom were spotless, large, well noise insulated. The young staff were EAGER to be of help. The Parc de Bercy has lovely gardens and a merry-go-round for the kids. So, the place is also quiet and restful!

Basically I wanted a hotel that looked nice and had easy access to the metro. If you ask me the metro is the best way to get around in Paris, everything else is too expensive. Back to the hotel though, its located near a pretty busy area. There's like an Expo building right next to it and there are a lot of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Parking was kind of a nightmare though. I figured the hotel had its own parking garage. Boy was I wrong. There were parking garages near the hotel but they were for that Expo building and I think you had to prepay for them. I ended up driving around that area for 30-40 minutes looking for parking and I finally found one 700-800 meters away. The room was very nice. I wish there was free wireless internet but you had to pay for it. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice. I wasn't expecting a bath tub and then a stand up shower but they both were nice and had excellent water pressure. There was a nice LCD-TV with alot of French channels. Only 3 channels were in English. It was a music channel, one with French news, and one with British news. The hotel staff was fluent in English so they were no problems there. My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Stayed one night but convinient access to metro and Hop-on-off bus. Really make use of time spent and enjoyed two days of activities in Paris before we took the night ttrain to Rome.

Gebucht für 3 erwachsene Personen. Zimmer Superior, war im Vergleich zu andere Novotel Standard-Zimmer! 3. Bett hatte keine richtige Bettdecke! 2 Badetücher, 2 Becher für Getränke - trotz 3 Personen im Zimmer. Hotelbar. Getränke auf der Karte nicht alle vorhanden, z.B. Martini Bianco. Service schlecht. Getränke hingestellt und verschwunden. Bar verwaist. Um Möglichkeit der Bezahlung musste an der Rezeption gebeten werden.

Une seule nuit a réussi à me convaincre de revenir dans cet hôtel où l'accueil et le confort sont sans reproche.
