Great Location

This was a wonderful hotel. The location could not have been any better. It's a 5 minute walk to the metro station and right across the river from Notre Dome. We could be the church from our hotel window. Staff was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful.

This hotel is in the Latin district of the left bank. Just walk down any street and you'll find a wonderful spot to eat and for a great price too.

Babymoon in Paris

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful and rooms were clean and comfortable (small by US standards but typical for France) If taking the train get off at St Michel-Notre Dame stop. Hotel is one block south of Notre Dame cathedral. Check out hotel location on map before going because the street is hard to find. Location is close to Notre Dame and Luxembourg Gardens and not far from the Louvre. Plenty of decent restaurants in walking distance.

great location

Location, Location, Location! Wonderful boutique hotel, however, should have been notified by the property that they were going through major renovation. Floors 1-3 are being worked on at this time and if you like to take afternoon siesta, that will not be possible if they are working in certain areas. Otherwise, the staff was friendly, the room we stayed in was very comfortable and upgraded and did I mention, wow, Notre Dam is right outside your door!

Fabulous Location Fabulous Staff

One block from the Seine, two blocks from the River Boat Bus stop, Two blocks from the metro. Early morning street cleaning noise, but other than that very quiet. Staff could not have been more helpful. Carpeting a little worn as were wall coverings and curtains, but spotlessly clean each day. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Go online to Paris Bureau of Tourism and purchase a metro pass, a museum pass (can skip most lines if have museum pass), a riverboat bus pass and any other tickets you want while there, like side trips to Versailles for instance. Easy to find the pick up location and saves both time and money.

Unbeatable Location

The number one asset of this hotel is the location. It is literally one block from the Seine and Notre Dame. Pretty much anywhere you'd want to go in Paris, you can walk to. metro, post office, grocery store, bakery is all right about the corner. The staff is very attentive and accomodating, they checked me in nearly 8 hours early because i came on such an early flight. Unlimited internet in the superior rooms which is great. My one and only complaint is that my room seemed a little shabby...wall paper puckered in several places, etc. It was spotlessly clean and all of the important facilities were modern (flat screen TV, new fixtures in the bathroom) so it wasn't a huge issue...more of an aesthetic thing. Everything in the rest of the hotel appeared to be in very good condition. With this hotel, what you're really paying for is the location.

Melia Le Colbert Boutique Hotel

We called the hotel to confirm our late arrival, arriving around 10pm. The staff was friendly and rooms clean. The hotel has a wonderful character and is in a great location walking distance to Notre Dame Cathedral, restaurants and shops. The rooms can get a bit stuffy but we kept the window opened and were comfortable, but not sure what it would be like in the summer. Small elevator but not a long wait. A nicely decorated boutique hotel.

Unbeatable location for the price

The location of this hotel couldnt be better. Staff was very polite and helpful. The only negative was the beds. We were with another couple and they complained about the same thing. Mattresses were too soft. You fell into the middle when you layed down. Pillows were too hard. everything else was great and the price was quite affordable for the location.

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the on/off red buses that stop near Notre Dame. Your price includes a two day pass and stops at just about every tourist spot you'd want to see. You can get on and off as you like.
