Great location, great staff!
This hotel is in a great location. Very safe, lots of things nearby. Easy to get to and find your way around from this location. The staff were all helpful and all spoke English very well. Room is tiny (it's Paris, get over it!). The bed, linens were very clean, and modern. Kind of strange set up, toilet in separate room from sink and shower, but it was ok.

Very Nice Hotel - Great Staff
We were very pleased with our stay. We were there for 8 nights and had a very enjoyable time. Staff was very friendly and helped us with our French when we wanted and spoke English when we were confused. There are very good restaurants in the neighborhood, and the whole area is much less touristy than closer to town center. Transportation is easy - metro is only a couple of blocks away and buses are right in front. It's also within walking distance to most major sites. I only marked that it was noisy because we like to sleep with the windows wide open; then we got some street noise. When we closed the windows it was very quiet.

If you really want to see the museums, get the Paris Museum pass. You can short-cut the lines and split visits to large museums such as the Louvre into a few hours over multiple days. Well worth it.

Great Staff
This is a relatively small boutique hotel in a great neighborhood. The lobby is charming and the owner is extremely friendly and welcoming. Our room was on the second floor overlooking Bd. Saint Marcel. The street is busy and noise levels are normal for any hotel in a major city. The room was average sized and very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a generous tub and shower. There is a metro station within a short walk of the hotel and several good restaurants and stores nearby. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone who would like to stay in a less touristy part of Paris.

I enjoyed my stay
Location was safe and easy walking distance to the Metro. The lobby area was very nice, with a good room to meet people, relax, and talk. Everything worked well, including shower. I had a quiet room, located on the inside courtyard. Only problem was the room was "petite" and the bed was shorter than me. Service at the front desk was fantastic.

Delightful!
I had been in touch with them prior to my trip with questions and they were very accommodating. The same applied when I arrived. Everyone who worked at the front desk was gracious and helpful, breakfast was good and economical, and the location was great: on the bus line, near the metro and RER. The maid and the breakfast staff were also lovely and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Great room size and quality
We made a last minute plan to visit Paris and there weren't too many affordable options available. We decided to choose La Demeure primarily due to the price and decent location. What we found was a great surprise. We got a 2 room suite with large rooms, great decor, large lcd tv, ipod player, great bathrooms etc. Appears that this place was recently renovated. Service was great too. Guy at the reception agreed to anything we needed. For example, he let us use the garage for extra time on sunday without extra charge. Location was not perfect but fine for the price we paid. It has many restaurants around, carrefour and a McDonalds. Metro is close by. Notre Dam was 8 euro by taxi. Our family loved the place and my kids wanted to stay there for ever.

Poor, even by Paris standards
I found La Demeure to be a disappointing hotel, even by the somewhat humble standards of other three-star hotels in Paris. From past visits to Paris, I know to expect small hotel rooms and sometimes unpleasant statff. And La Demeure is no exception. But the decor was a bit closer to shabby than cozy, and closet space and hot water were rather limited and spotty. The staff were not particularly responsive and, one case, downright dishonest. On balance, I would not recommend this hotel to fellow three-star travelers.

Short walk from hotel
If you spend much of your day, as we did, walking around Paris and Versailes, stock up on snacks and sandwiches from the Carrefour supermarket a block south of the hotel.

Very nice; not exactly in Latin Quarter!
I was alone, so I didn't mind the tiny-ness of the room. Everything was gleaming, chic, newly renovated. La Demeure is on a busy boulevard with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby, and a short walk to the metro. However, it really is NOT quite in the Latin Quarter. The heart of the Latin Quarter is a ten to fifteen minute walk or a couple of subway stops away. The immediate neighborhood is fine, but not especially charming by Paris standards. Desk staff was gracious, and the cozy lobby with self-serve bar is inviting and comfortable--like the living room of a rich, fashionable friend.

Cozy, comfortable, clean
This is a perfect place to stay if you just wanted a convenient location (on 2 different Metro lines, close to train station and bus stops) and a comfortable, clean (although small as per Paris standards) room to stay in at the end of a long day seeing the sites! It is also close to some nice neighborhoods to hang out that are a little less touristy. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Beware, it seems like there is a free continental breakfast, but they actually charge you 13 Euros per person/day for it!!

Short walk from hotel
Rue Mouffetard near the hotel is a great neighborhood to hang out in. Look for places with "happy hour" with 5 Euro pints of great Belgium beers (otherwise a pint can cost you 10 Euros normally). Also, order espresso and not American style coffee (cafe long or cafe au lait) because these also cost a lot more.

Good clean hotel
Very clean nice hotel with a very friendly and helpful hotel staff. The room was very small, but was clean with a big window and we had everything we needed. Nice place to rest at the end of busy site seeing days. Had to walk a few blocks to get on buses, Metro and RER, but it worked out well. Lots of Cafes and Markets nearby, Would recommend and stay here again.
