Overview

Located in the First District of Paris, the Empire hotel is an invitation to luxury, exquisite design and well-being. This magnificent 18th Century Hotel Particulier nestled between the Louvre Museum and the infamous St Honore Street, is simply a perfect location for business or leisure. Entirely reminded and renovated, the boutique hotel opens its doors to a living space that combines the elegant Empire style with subdued contemporary design all in harmony. Take a further step into the heart of the hotel to discover 42 large rooms filled with abundant day light. The minimalist design makes each room relaxing with spacious comfort. Each unique room has the latest technological audio and video features. Private terraces can be found in some rooms and each Executive Suite includes a Jacuzzi tub. The wellness area offers a hammam, sauna and treatment rooms. *** Important Information: Considering that Paris is the capital of fashion and that image is the most important for a model, L'Empire Paris is submitting itself to a beauty treatment! From the July 18th to August 15th, we'll be fully refurbishing our reception (which will be momentarily moved) and the hotel's bar, which will improve in size and quality. For this matter, the breakfast is going to be served in the room (with no extra charges) and the bar will be closed. Aware that this improvement requires work and patience, we'll be taking special measures to minimize the inconvenients. In order to compensate the clients who'll be staying with us during this period, we'll be offering a very special rate, and, with a granted upgrade on a next stay, they will be invited to discover the New Empire. Winning beauty, demands perseverance and small sacrifices, but we look forward to go through this change with you and see how beautiful we will become. ***

Dining

The Petit Salon Fumoir
Immerse yourself in the quiet and intimate atmosphere of a traditional lounge, The Petit Salon Fumoir. This rare space reminds the senses of an old smoking lounge brought to live in today's world. It's a perfect spot for business lunches or simply enjoying a latte next to the oversized fire place.
Bar Lounge
The Empire also has an astonishing bar lounge where sophisticated cocktails are served within a contrasted environment of sleek design and modern decor.

Great Location

Would recommend Sun, Jun 21, 2015
The hotel was located in a central position for experiencing all of the city. The rooms are spacious and beds very comfortable. The staff is kind and helpful. Suggestion: coffee / tea or hot water should be available to complete what the hotel has to offer its guests.

Okay Hotel in Excellent Location

Would not recommend Tue, Apr 9, 2013
This hotel is well-situated close to the Louvre between Rue St. Honore and Rue de Rivoli. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. However, the furnishings especially in the bathroom were a bit warn and I believe that, given the many hotel options in Paris, one can do better. The front desk staff is nice, though inquiries did not always result in anything helpful. For instance, we asked them to make a reservation once for us for dinner, they said they would, when we came down no reservation had been made. Another time I alerted them to problem with sink drainage - it was not addressed in the following three days of our visit.

Dining

Boulangerie Pâtisserie Gosselin on Rue St. Honore is excellent.

Fantastic location...romm size shocking!

Would recommend Tue, Jul 19, 2011
Plus side: Excellent location, extremely close to the Museum de Louvre, Saint Chapelle, Notre Dame and much much more. Excellent shops, restaurants and bars within walking distance. Hotel was modern, boutique style, room was clean and the ensuite was minimal but shower pressure was extremely good and complimentary toiletries were available, which we didn't try. Negative: The size of the room was as big as a postage stamp, the reception area was bigger...shocking considering how much we paid per night but obviously paid for the location rather than room size.

Bed Bugs and Mosquitos

Would not recommend Tue, Sep 1, 2009
There were bed bugs and we got bit by mosquitos every night in the room. We killed about 6 mosquitos a night and they kept coming back. Also, at night we could here people walking above us. On the upside, the location was terrific.

Looks nice but...

Would not recommend Sun, Aug 23, 2009
This hotel looked great online, and looked just as nice when we arrived. We had to wait until 5pm for check-in (despite the fact that check-in was listed as 12PM). Even at 5pm, there seemed to be a problem with the readiness of our room. After waiting for a few more minutes, we were finally shown to our room. The room and bathroom were very nice, but we learned later that the bed and pillow are terribly uncomfortable, and the room never seemed to get cool (even with the AC on the lowest setting). Further, there was incredibly lound noise on our first night (loud music and talking coming from somewhere) and the hotel had a "so what" attitude when we asked about it the next morning. Then, there were no clocks in the room and the staff was 20 minutes off with our wake-up calls on each morning (we almost missed a tour because they woke us up 20 minutes late). Finally, we stayed 4 nights and they never replaced any of the amenities, even after we had used them. While I was not expecting the Four Seasons with this hotel choice, I was expecting something more comfortable from this boutique hotel.
