Paris hotel pampers with a spa, high-end restaurant and regal decor

Guests at InterContinental PARIS – LE GRAND are blown away by the sheer amount of artistry that went into creating the space. The 470-room hotel, which enjoys a sweet spot across from Opera Garnier, evokes the empirical grandeur admired by Napoleon III, favoring stately columns, gold-painted ceilings and artwork, not to mention rooms and suites that live like palaces. Café de LaPaix, the on-site restaurant, and I-Spa by Algotherm beckon guests to enjoy the decadence.

Highlights
  • Luxury hotel across from Opera Garnier
  • Elegant restaurant with artful French fare
  • High-end spa treatments
  • Empire-inspired rooms with city views, luxury furniture and linens
Location

InterContinental PARIS – LE GRAND guests enjoy a neighbor's view of one of the most iconic monuments in Paris: the Opera Garnier, which is literally across the property. The district is ripe with other gems, too, including the Louvre, Place de Vendome and the Champs-Elysees.

Rooms

InterContinental PARIS – LE GRAND embraces grandeur in all 470 rooms, each taking inspiration from the Empire style Napoleon III so adored. Expect art that evokes music and dance, embellished, gilded mirrors, exquisite wallpaper, sumptuous linens and views of Opera Garnier across the hotel. Regal colors like gold, red and navy achieve a palatial feeling. Guests choose from suites and standard rooms equipped with Wi-Fi, work desk, cable/satellite TV and mini-bar.

Dining

Chefs prepare meals with art in mind at Café de LaPaix, the ground-floor fine dining restaurant. Sumptuous desserts and entrees are arranged to stun, just like the enormous columns and molded ceiling.

Recreation

I-Spa by Algotherm pampers from head-to-toe with treatments inspired by the sea. Unwind with body wraps, massages and the Douche Multi-sensorielle, a shower cabin that treats the body to water, scents and lighting features.

Great Stay

This was a Great Stay. The Hotel staff was curteous and gave us complimentary champagne for our special occasion. The room was a good size, very clean and impotantly very comfortable. The location is excellent. It was close to the Louvre and lots of restaurants. Also the concierge service allows you to get tickets to museums so you dont have to wait in line for tickets! The one thing that was a little rough was the busy and somewhat confusing check in. Overall, being a frequent traveler I would rate this particular stay as one of the best.

Get tickets for museums at the concierge desk at the hotel! You then can get in without waiting in line. Especially recommended on busy weekends when lines are long. Saved us a lot of time to actually enjoy the sites.

Great 40th Anniversary celabration

My husband let the hotel know that this was for our 40th anniversary celebration and they not only upgraded our room but gave us champagne and chocolates for our first night which was most appreciated. We had a wonderful view of the opera house and a great central location.

Intercontinental Paris Le Grand

The location is central making it convenient to Roissybus for cheap fare to and from Charles deGaulle. The area (Opera) lacks restaurants. But all in all, a pretty nice hotel.

A truly grand experience.

This was our first stay at the Paris Le Grand but will not be our last. The location, facilities and especially the very prompt personal service were impeccable, meeting then exceeding our expectations. The Paris Le Grand is indeed a five-star experience not to be missed when visiting the City of Light.

Nice, but overpriced

Very elegant, excellent service, great location right next to the Opera. Only thing irritating was every in the hotel was overpriced. 18 Euros for French onion soup in room service... it was good onion soup, but not that good.

Absolutely fabulous hands down!!

This hotel was amazing! It was very posh and gorgeous! My room was spotless and included everything you could want. Fluffy robe, slippers, L'Occitane bath products, fluffy down comforter...amazing! I would get in at night and my bed was turned down, lights on, weather report on my bed, and tv on switched to English tv. These people know what customer service is all about. The only draw back for me was my mattress was not super comfortable, but still doable for just two nights. Had I been on a longer stay, I probably would have requested another room.

Tour De France Le Grande

Excellent Friendly Service and Information. Clean room, twice per day. Fantastic Paris location. Good Tours. Four minus items: 1. One of the two phones had to be repaired. 2. lowest/warmest setting on the AC was too cold. 3. One wake up call never happened, so I missed a wine country tour. 4. Glass door on the tub/shower was short making it hard to take a shower without getting the floor all wet.
