A truly grand experience.
The Elegant Travelers Oct 3, 2009
This was our first stay at the Paris Le Grand but will not be our last. The location, facilities and especially the very ... prompt personal service were impeccable, meeting then exceeding our expectations. The Paris Le Grand is indeed a five-star experience not to be missed when visiting the City of Light.

Very elegant, excellent service, great location right next to the Opera. Only thing irritating was every in the hotel was ... overpriced. 18 Euros for French onion soup in room service... it was good onion soup, but not that good.

Absolutely fabulous hands down!!
2fabu4u Sep 24, 2009
This hotel was amazing! It was very posh and gorgeous! My room was spotless and included everything you could want. Fluffy ... robe, slippers, L'Occitane bath products, fluffy down comforter...amazing! I would get in at night and my bed was turned down, lights on, weather report on my bed, and tv on switched to English tv. These people know what customer service is all about. The only draw back for me was my mattress was not super comfortable, but still doable for just two nights. Had I been on a longer stay, I probably would have requested another room.

Excellent Friendly Service and Information. Clean room, twice per day. Fantastic Paris location. Good Tours. Four minus ... items: 1. One of the two phones had to be repaired. 2. lowest/warmest setting on the AC was too cold. 3. One wake up call never happened, so I missed a wine country tour. 4. Glass door on the tub/shower was short making it hard to take a shower without getting the floor all wet.

Le Grand Hotel proved to be everything I thought it would be. The property was absolutely beautiful! The rooms were ... fantastic, which included the overall appearance and comfort. Would definitely recommend this hotel. It is centrally located with access to the Metro and other transportation. There were many good restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

Plan your days. Get a Museum Pass which gives you access to 60 museums in the city, including the Louvre. A Metro or City Pass would also save time & money. There are so many attractions! Definitely something for everyone, from fine dining, culture, & entertainment.

My review of InterContinental PARIS-LE GRAND
Kathryn Oct 30, 2008
This is an elegant hotel, with amazing public spaces. The staff is helpful - always - and it is in a great location. ... Walking to most of Paris' main attractions is a glorious experience. The rooms are really small - by American standards.

Paris is acity in which you must walk for a few days, no matter how easy and convenient the subway. From the Le Grand, the Louvre is ten minutes away. Fachon & Galeries Lalfayette are easy walks for shopping.

everything one would expect in a full service hotel. it was the right choice for me given a limited time (3 days...3 nights) ... in paris. not an economy place; however, you get what you pay for. enjoy.

My Stay at InterContinental
Jerry Apr 5, 2008
I went to Paris with my husband for our quick get-away vacation and we absolutly loved our time in Paris but I think it was ... much nicer due to the hotel we were staying at. From the moment we walked in to the lobby, everything was done in absolute discreet yet very attentive manner by the staffs. We also had lunch at the hotel restaurant and their service and foods were excellent. Also, as we were doing bunch of tourist things, realized more and more how close InterContinental was from everything. Just loved the whole setting. Room was very clean and who could resist that plush/clean/very comfortable bed? The only thing I was not 100% sure was the fragrance they had in their lobby and hallways. It was very nice but since I do have asthma, that was something I could do without. Other than that, we really were happy with InterContinental. I will highly recommend and we will check into InterContinental next time we travel.

There is a Starbucks only short couple of blocks. I loved coffee/espresso in Paris cafe's but since I am used to the huge amount on everything living in U.S., it was also nice to have regular coffee in the grand sized cup once in awhile.
