Experience 18th century splendor on the Left Bank
History and culture abound in the Hotel des Grands Hommes. The building was once the home of French writer and founder of the Surrealist movement, Andre Breton. The Pantheon opposite the property is the final resting place for Victor Hugo and Marie Curie. Very helpful staff
The room was small but well appointed. The air conditioning worked well. The bathroom was small but lovely. Every issue we had(the safe was closed) was resolved in a friendly manner. The vaulted breakfast room was more than Continental breakfastincluding cheses and ham and cereal and fresh fruit, etc. The staff was superbly helpful at reception and at breakfast; I would recommend the hotel to others. I wish there was a better mattress. But that was the only disappointment. Superb location for walking everywhere.

We walked to the Muse? D'Orsay, Notre Dame, the Ile St. Louis, along the Seine, Boul Mich and St Germain shopping, the Louvre and the Tuilleries

Excellent rapport qualité / prix.
Excellent rapport qualité / prix. Seul problème, mais il est ennuyeux : très peu de lumière dans la chambre que nous occupions (imposssible de lire au lit). Dommage!
