Elegant hotel boasts views of the Champs-Elysees and Eiffel Tower

Hotel Napoleon stands on precious land: The 101-room property is the closest hotel near the Arc de Triomphe. History plays in its favor, too. Built in the 1920s, the building was purchased by a Russian businessman as a wedding present for his beloved French fiancée. Once a stop for the Parisian high society, the picturesque hotel now hosts travelers worldwide who revel in the Napoleon-inspired rooms and fine dining boite, Biovauc Café.

Highlights
  • Closest Paris hotel near the Arc de Triomphe
  • Views of the Champs-Elysees and Eiffel Tower
  • Biovauc Café open for breakfast, lunch and dinner
Location

Hotel Napoleon occupies prime real estate: It is the closest hotel to the Arc de Triomphe. As a result, some rooms boast views of the iconic landmark, plus other destinations like the Eiffel Tower and Champs-Elysees.

Rooms

Rooms at Hotel Napoleon celebrate Empire-style grandeur with luxury linens, bold stripes and antique furniture. Guests will admire the opulence that pops in every corner, from dramatic fabric canopies behind beds to sparkling chandeliers hung from ceilings lined with crowned moldings. Windows let the natural light peep through and look out to either Avenue de Frieland or the hotel's inner courtyard. Pedestal desks invite business travelers to catch up on work between meetings. Standard amenities cover anti-allergic linens, marble and mahogany bathrooms, Wi-Fi, cable TV and a mini bar.

Dining

Bivouac Café sets the mood for fine dining in a sumptuous setting. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the restaurant is known for its seasonal dishes and delicate sauces. Signatures include Tartar Steak with Pont Neuf potatoes and Crawfish sautéed with chorizo and Spanish risotto.

Excellent trip to Paris!

Hotel Napoleon was wonderful. Just a block off from the Champs Elysees with views of both the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. Very safe surroundings and good shopping. Breakfast buffet is somewhat expensive, but the experience does make up for it. Would definitely stay again- Almost booked a cheaper hotel last minute, but after passing by that hotel on the way back to the airport, we were soooo glad to have stayed at Hotel Napoleon.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Salon Biguine was right around the corner. I needed a haircut before I left but decided to get one in Paris for the experience... Asked the Concierge, who strongly recommended this salon and said he sends his celebrity guests there, who always return satisfied. My haircut was excellent by the way- and reasonably priced.

Even though we reserved the Jr. suite, but they gave us a suite with the view of Arc de triumph. The bathroom was nice, clean and big. The room was spacious and we have three closets in the room. The staff was very friendly and the location was perfect.

The staff is very friendly and

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak perfect English (and French, of course:-). The rooms seem to be recently renovated and are clean. The concierge is also very helpful and is friendly. The location is superb. It's next door to L'Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees, and the subway/RER station of Etoile - extremely convenient. It is not inexpensively priced, but is certainly worth the money.

The staff is very friendly and speaks perfect English (and French, of course). The concierge is also very helpful, and friendly. The rooms are clean, well kept. Very nice service in general, although the internet is a bit expensive (about EU20/24 hours). It is excellently located. Just next to Champs-Elysees and L'Arc de Triomphe. It's not inexpensive, but is well worth for the money.

Tiny room, old hotel

Old hotel, uncomfortable & tiny room. Very expensive & not great breakfast. You're paying for the location - but there are better hotels to be had in the area.

lovely

the hotel has an extremely convenient location. plus, the rooms are spotless, the staff is quite friendly, and the hotel offers authentic french decor (i.e. opulent chandeliers, a fireplace in the lobby, & french doors to your private balcony). i only have a ftwo complaints: 1) some walls in the bedroom were paper thin; 2) 20 euros a day for internet access is sinful.

Please visit LES GOURMETS DES TERNES. You'll have to have the hotel make reservaations for you because the establishment is rather "parisien exclusive" (your accent will give you away) but it's a renown restaurant and the beef is phenomenal.

Lovely boutique hotel

Hotel Napoleon was a beautiful hotel with an excellent location. We were able to tour Paris by taking the Metro everywhere and were able to walk to many of the most famous sites. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Although the room was small, the service and cleanliness more than made up for that. We would definitely stay there again.

Best Location you can find

This is a perfect location to all the hot spots to be seen in Paris. You are within in minutes of walking distance to most highligyts of Paris. Those that do require to be traveled to the Metro (subway) is seconds from the front entrance. This was our thirs time in Paris and at same hotel. We love this hotel, very clean, professional staff and great location. Rooms are a bit small but are very classy. Errol Flinn used to stay at this hotel when he came to Paris.
