nice place close to train station

We only stayed one night. The room was very nice, however a little tight for a family of three. Close to the station for walking. The area around the hotel was a little rough. We did not feel comfortable walking around at night.

Brilliant boutique hotel

Hotel Mademoiselle is a little treasure hiding in a side street near the Gare du Nord. We chose for its convenience to catch the Eurostar but it turned out to be somewhere we would go back to as a base for a longer stay in Paris. It is chic. It is understated. But it is not expensive. Rooms are well appointed and are a decent size - we had 3 rooms and although different we had space in each - one had room for the put-u-up for my 16 year old daughter. En suites all had massive shower roses for a good soaking! The little courtyard at the centre of the hotel is a delight for a peaceful breakfast. Oh and the added bonus is the spa in the basement which has a steam room and sauna to ease away the aches of a busy day in Paris. Check it out for yourself...

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a little brasserie called P'tite Bougnate just around the corner from the hotel on Boulevard Magenta. Great choice at reasonable prices. Somewhere to watch the Paris world go by...

Great stay for a couple of days

Had a nice stay for 5 days but had one disturbing morning when they were re-carpeting our hallway at 8:30am! We thought the ceiling was falling on us- it literally scared us to death. Would have been nice to have been warned, but fortunately everything else was great- service with great suggestions & locations was pretty good for the $. AC didn't work tho so it was a bit stuffy for a 3 star?! Overall nice but steep price.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

If u stay more than 5 days skip the CityPass and just buy tickets online for your attractions. Buy a week metro card and its just as good for less $.

Hotel is under extensive renovation

The hotel is doing extensive renovations on the ground floor and on the first and second. The elevator was not working at all. There was dust all over impregnated in the carpeting (even in the upper floors) and in all areas of the hotel. It made me sick. There was a lot of noise all day from the men working. The staff was trying to help as much as possible. The location was good for us, within walking distance from a main train station and the metro.
