Great location
The location is great, less that two blocks from the Louvre. The hotel is fine, but the rooms (even the Superior one I booked) are small. But we spent little time there, so it wasn't that much of a problem. The breakfast was good as was the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Could not have been better
Highly recommended! This centerally located hotel had a tres comfortable bed, great in-house resaurant (Oscars), and the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. Air conditioning worked great -- as did the no-charge Wifi. Tub for soaking feet and towel warmer in bath were added bonus. About 1 block from Pyramides metro (follow the signs to the Tourist Information (TI) and it is just down the block). We easily got our Museum Passes at the TI (took less than 5 minutes). Also, hotel is about 2 blocks to the Louvre and Tulleries Gardens. There is also a place to book bus tours a block toward the Louvre. We had a wonderful visit and would definately stay there again.

Amazing Paris vacation
My daughter and I just returned from a once in a lifetime trip to Paris. I booked througb Orbitz. We stayed at the Hotel Lumen. The hotel was amazing. It is just blocks from the Louve and many other sites. It is also a short walk to the metro which is easy access to any of the sites of Paris. The hotel staff gave us excellent advice on how to use the metro system, where to get souveneirs, and resturants to get the best food for the $. I would recommend bringing an electric outlet converter. Ours did not work so we could not charge iPod or iphone for internet. No hotel computer to use. Amazing continental breakfast with fresh pastries, fruit, cheeses, and fantastic coffee with steamed milk!

dark star
The other reviews are pretty accurate. I would only say that the rooms are too dark as the lighting is inadequate and the desk is a bit small for both a laptop and a note pad and since there is no desklamp or overhead light, a bit difficult for the business traveler. Otherwise, clean, well located, quiet, great wifi, great staff, abundant toiletries, efficient air-conditioning.

Great Hotel
Great location, lovely staff, great room. It's minutes from the Louvre, the Tuilleries, the Orangerie, Musee D'Orssay, Ile de la Cite. It's a great little place and highly recommended. Oh, a bit out of order, but easy access to the Metro.

Rue St. Honore is at the south end of the block. Head east to find a great sandwich shop. One block to the west you'll find boutiques and various restaurants just past St. Roche.

Better than all the reviews I read!
I finally got to go to Paris and this hotel was much more than I expected. First, you can walk to just about anything you want to see. There's a grocery/department store just down the street for any extras you might need. The people at the desk and the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. The room was great! No it wasn't very big but it had everything I needed. The shower had a rainfall shower head. So cool! I am tall so I can't tell you how great it was not to worry about bending over backwards to take a shower. The free wireless was fast and efficient. The only thing I had an issue with was the lighting, I think something was wrong with the overhead light. I'm sure if I'd have said something they would have fixed it, but who has time. I spent only a short amount of time in my room because I was out seeing the sights all day. Everything was clean and comfortable. I like really soft beds though, and this one was very firm. Not uncomfortable, but very firm. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I ever go back to Paris.

Just a note - If you take a taxi from Charles de Gualle airport, it will cost you 47 Euros. You might want to look for a cheaper form of transportation.

All around great hotel
Overall this was a great hotel. The room was nice and the staff very friendly. The location is terrific for tourist attractions but is a little farther away from great night life locations. The Metro is very close so getting around was quite easy.
