Nearly masquerading as a stately home, the Lenox Hotel Paris occupies a corner of Montparnasse once frequented by cultural icons in turn-of-the-century Paris. Stay in the rooms once graced by Man Ray, admire the vintage armoires in the bedroom, or simply look out to courtyard views past flower-draped, wrought-iron balconies. Come and go as you please in the self-service bar and lounge, where you can sip cocktails while enjoying a novel. On-the-go travelers will enjoy the Cafe Parisien for light options like orange juice and French pastries, and if you're feeling far too laissez-faire to head down for the breakfast buffet, there's always the continental room service.

Neighborhood

The Hotel Lenox Montparnasse is located on the Left Bank in the historic district of Montparnasse-close to the Vavin Metro station-and surrounded by a quirky array of street cafes, bars and art-house cinemas. The Bobino and Cartier Foundation for Contemporary Art and the Museum of Montparnasse are both nearby, so culture-buffs will have plenty to enjoy.

Hints and tips

The room was small, a given, but comfortable and the location was excellent great neighborhood.. thought overall this was a real find for the price. The staf was friendly an helpfull and would stay there again if in Paris. The street was quiet but had everthing you need as a traveler on it.. close to metro..

Nice little hotel in a nice location

Easy to get to - close to Vavin and Edgar Quinet metro stops. Also close to Gare Montparnasse for catching the Air France Shuttle to the airports. Rooms are tiny but nice and clean. Staff very friendly and speak fluent English. Franprix mini-mart just a few doors away and laundrymat just 2 blocks away. Tons of great food around every corner. Easy walk to Luxemborg Gardens. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Clean, Great Location, Wonderful Stay

This hotel is lovely - one of the cleanest, and best maintained rooms we've stayed in. Granted, the rooms are not huge - city hotels typically aren't - but they're comfortable, clean, and well appointed. Plus, there's free internet on a computer in the lobby, coffee and tea in the room, and lovely bathroom amenities. Also, there are 2 train stations within 5 and 10 minute walks, and loads of restaurants also within that radius. Overall, a lovely stay.

If you walk just about a block from the hotel to the Vavin train station, there is a little bakery/cafe directly diagonally across the intersection from that train station... it is amazing - the cheapest and most delicious breakfast to be had in Paris (that we found at least). You won't get the ambiance of the fancy cafes, but it's totally worth it.

Nice hotel

The hotel is well located in Montparnasse -- a short walk to the Luxemburg Gardens, and about a half hour from the Seine and the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, Notre Dame, etc. The day staff was extremely helpful and friendly; the night guy was friendly but forgot to give us a wake-up call, which we didn't need. The breakfast seemed expensive, and we didn't take it. The room was clean and cool, even in 97 F weather. Room faced the street, no noise issues. Delayed luggage is not the hotel's fault. Seemed a bit expensive, but this is Paris, c'mon! We'd go back.

The bakeries on the block were fine. The nearby restaurants on the block were quite accommodating to two people who don't really speak French. Don't worry about that, but don't act entitled when you run into someone who doesn't speak English.

15 days in Paris

The Lenox Montparnasse is hidden on a side street off Blvd Montparnasse. It is a small older property. The first impression is not the best, however, the good rating is in the staff and proximity to the metro #4 and #6 lines. This gets you everywhere you want to go as a tourist or business traveler. I travel all over the world and would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. I will stay there again. It is a great value with an excellent staff and comfortable rooms.

Small but nice

The hotel is very conveniently located near the metro and good food. It's rooms are small and it gets pretty noisy in the mornings. But overall a good hotel.

Clean and classy

I had just completed the Paris-to-Chartres pilgrimage, and I was returning to Paris for one night before the flight back to Minnesota. After two nights in campground tents, I was ready for the comforts of a nice hotel, and the Lenox did not disappoint. The location is only a five-minute walk from the Gare Montparnasse, where you can catch the Air France bus to Charles de Gaulle airport. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small, as is the norm in central Paris, but it had everything I needed. The room overlooked the busy Rue Delambre, but the thick windows kept out street noise. There is an honor bar across from Reception. Nice dark woodwork throughout. Dozens of mid-priced restaurants in the neighborhood.

Excellent Location, Clean Hotel, Nothing Else.

Location: This hotel is at a very convenient location, 2 min walk from Vavin metro station, and 5-10 from another two. Location wise, this hotel cannot be beat. It will take about 25 min metro ride to get to Chatelet - main subway hub. Amenities: The hotel is very clean and the maids and hotel staff are responsible. Most hotel staff speak English, a plus for US and Asian travelers. The room was small though, probably in line with with other Paris hotels. Our air-con unit was disabled , probably because we go in late March. It is better for guests to be able to turn things on / off at will though. The safety box cannot even fit an iPad, but it is useful for passports and other small stuff. Beds springs is our only complain in the room. The streets can get very very noisy at night especially on weekend. Parties can go on in nearby restaurants until 3 or 4 am. Request a back room or higher floor if possible. Overall, this is a good hotel at an excellent location.

The hotel is in walking distance to a variety of dining options in every price range, including famous restaurants Hugo and Hemingway hanged out. There is a supermarket and two bakeries a few doors down if you need snacks or groceries.
