First visit to Paris

We were not sure which area to stay in as it was out first visit. The Hotel de Jardin was in a residential area at the Villiers stop on the Metro. Convenient to walking among the locals to markets and shops. Le Dame corner cafe became a favorite. The funghi pizza was so good we had it twice. Overall the hotel was in a walkable location if you like getting your 10,000 steps in a day! The room was tiny, very stuffy but we opened the window every night. The shower with the half glass door allowed water to go everywhere in the restroom and we had to put towels down every day. The staff was delightful and very friendly. Breakfast was marginal so we opted for pastries and cafes elsewhere. It was a great first visit but we will try another hotel in the future. Probably closer to Champ Élysées.

in a location that was away from tourists but close to lots of restaurants. With the great metro system you can get to anywhere fast. Room was a good size for Paris and staff were very friendly and helpful.

A Great Choice

This hotel was a great choice because of location. It is on a side street in a predominently residential area that was quiet at night. The staff spoke English and were very freindly and helpful. As with all Paris hotel rooms it was small, but this one was very efficient with a nice bathroom. The walls were paded and covered in fabric adding to the quiet. Breakfast was quite nice with all that you would need to start the day. The metro was only 3 or 4 blocks away. We were very pleased with the entire experience.

Money-saving tip: Not Applicable

Get the metro / RER pass for the timeframe you are in Paris. It takes you everywere. The RER is the train that goes to Versailles and the airport(if you want). We actually recommend you hire a car to pick you up and take you back to the airport. It may seem expensive but we think it is worth every Euro.

Lovely Hotel

The hotel is in a very quiet location, it was great to be able to have your windows open at night. Very pleasant rooms, which were cleaned to a high standard every day. Great little hotel.

Great Stay

We had a great time at this hotel. We used it as a resting place while we explored the city. The staff was very friendly and gracious through our language barrier. Several of the staff spoke english, and the ones who didn't knew enough to communicate. The rooms are small, but we expected that traveling in Europe. The best thing about the hotel is it's neighborhood. Around the corner from the hotel is a bustling neighborhood market filled with bakeries, butcher shops, restaurants, cheese shops, you name it! The residents are friendly and the food is fantastic. It was a great basecamp for our trip. The bed was comfortable and the room looked like it had been remodeled recently as it was very modern and new. We stayed on the 4th floor (all the rooms on the 4th floor have balconies. It gets a bit hot up there, but the AC works great!
