Great location
Narrow halls & staircases, typical of boutiquey Parisian hotels. This is right across from the Hotel de Ville Metro stop, so easy to get to from the airport. It's also a block or two from the Seine, and across the river from the Notre Dame. The rooms are tiny, but fully equipped. View out onto Rue Rivoli, which is a busy, main street. The location is perfect. Delicious boulangerie in a square a block away, and surrounded by dozens of restaurants, bars, and shopping. There's also a market across the street (I think on Saturday). It took less than an hour to take a train to Versaille for a day trip, and less than two hours out to Dijon for wineries. The Louvre, Latin Quarter, Notre Dame are a short walk away. Montmartre, the Eiffel Tower, and the Champs Elysees are a short Metro ride. Because of the location, I'd definitely stay here again.

Excellent Location!
The location of this hotel was the best thing about it. The area was the Marais district and had lots of restuarants and Starbucks along with a very convenient Patisserie to take out from. You can easily walk to all the most notable sites. (with confortable shoes or take the Metro.) The front desk area is almost non existant, enough to squeeze by to get to the lift. Typical small hotel accomodations. Dont take a huge suitcase here! Rooms are tiny. Coffee Maker and hairdryer in room was great to have. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful

Lovely, cozy home in Paris
This cozy hotel, in the ideal location of Paris, allows visitors to experience the ambiance of many nearby eateries, shops, museums, and historical sights, next to the Seine River. The customer service is outstanding, friendly, and always with a smile. Rooms- great beds and restful atmosphere. Not to be confused with other hotels, this Hotel France Louvre is located near many museums, including The Louvre and Notre Dame, at a fraction of the cost! Hotel France Louvre staff goes out of their way to help with details and arrangements in tours, transportation, and information. They have free wireless access in the rooms and computer access in the lounge with a street view. They have delightful complementary breakfasts in a grotto from 7-10 AM. I would definitely stay there again. I felt like a local in the neighborhood area of cafes and brasseries.

We were able to stay here with
We were able to stay here with accumulated Member Dollars, which was fantastic. The little hotel is superbly located on Rue de Rivoli in the heart of Marais. Metro is very close by, and you can walk pretty much everywhere. Staff were very nice, smiley and friendly, they let us check in early. The room was small but clean and comfortable, good temperature and window that opens. Our shower was a bit insane and made the bathroom very wet, but that's only a minor complaint. There is a lovely breakfast room in the cellar of the hotel, but we didn't actually eat there. All things considered, a great little base for Paris

Nothing fancy, but did the trick
The room was incredibly small, the shower was minuscule. But the service was good and the location fantastic. Bed was pretty comfortable too. It was what I expected for the low rate. Acceptable... Not for someone who expects to spend a lot of time in their room

'Would stay there again
The hotel was in a good location. Lots of restaurants close by. Metro station was a block and a half away. Staff were friendly and courteous. Rooms are small, but not a problem as I didn't spend a lot of time there. Don't waste your money on the breakfast in the hotel.

Great location! Friendly staff!
The staff were friendly, well-informed, and spoke English. The room was tidy and well appointed. The street noise was loud when we were out on the balcony, but it dulled down considerably when we closed the windows. Breakfast was tastsy and full of variety. The location is perfect for getting to Notre Dam.

Hotel Paris Louvre
Rather "shabby-genteel". Nice location, but the lift didn't work when I returned from dinner in the evening, and it still didn't work the next morning when I had to shlep my suitcase down several flights of stairs to catch an early morning flight. But the friendly staff and convenient location were good, as was the quiet room on an upper floor on the courtyard side.

Location!
After booking the trip and stay at Hotel France Louvre, we started to read reviews about how small and old it was and got a little scared since we were staying there for 5 nights. And yes, like most hotels in Paris it was small. At 6 feet/260 lbs I barely fit into the shower. When I went to the lobby to see if they had another room, they were gracious and provided me with an option. The option room was bigger than the room I had, but the view was not as good. After diliberating, we decided to stay where we were. The room was small, but clean. Bed was very comfortable. At first we were kind of shocked being so used to Marriotts and Four Seasons in the states, but we got comfortable quite quickly. The location of this place is perfect. Right across the street from the Hotel Deville. A stones throw to the Louvre. The Metro #1 line is right across the street. This will take you to the Truilleries(sp?), Champs D' ELysses, the Louvre, etc... You can also get to Versailles using the Metro which is only about a 30 minutes ride. We found the Metro extremely easy to use, very clean and very economical. Keep you wallet close though as it can get crowded. Our overall experience with the Hotel France Louvre was positive. We never ate the breakfast as we wondered the streets looking for cafes and bakeries to try. Au pain chocolat! There are dozens and dozens all within the blocks surrounding the Hotel. Again, great location. The fridge in the room seemed to warm things more than cool them, but again, this is France and you will find that they do not drink beverage ice cold the way we do. Bathroom was small, but clean. Staff was helful and friendly. Bed was comfortable(queen size) Location, Location, Location. I would recommend the Hotel France Louvre to anyone that plans on using the hotel as a place to launch their adventures from. If you are going to be staying in your room for extended periods of time, then you might want to think about staying somewhere else. But if you are on vacation and are going to be taking in the sights and using the hotel as a place to sleep, then I would highly recommend as it is a perfect place to launch your adventures around the city from. Notre Dame, Louvre, Bastille, Left Bank, all within easy walking distance. Pleanty of places to eat and drink all around the hotel as well. We would leavin in the morning, return to the hotel to get ready for dinner and then head out again. It is so easy to get to that we could spend the day across town at the Eifeel Tower and then shoot back to the hotel, shower, get dressed and jump back on the Metro and across town for dinner. Again, if you are looking for a luxurious room to stay in and will spend time there, look for a hotel else where. If you are a traveler looking to see the city and need a comfotable, clean place to stay, I would recomment this hotel.
