Hotel Du Plat d Etain

Good location: close to EuroStar train station (4 stops) and metro stop (half a block, and many metro lines connection); even though the neighboughhood is not that great, but it's safe to walk back from the metro to the hotel and eat out in a few very good and not expensive restaurants nearby. The staff are very helpful and very nice at the counter and in the breakfast room. You may want to bring your own towl because I saw the cleaning person put the clean towl on the hall way floor, but who knows what are a cleaning person does when you are not around? You cannot avoid that even in a 5 stars hotel. I will stay in this hotel again if it's the same price $95 (not likely go to Paris in a summer again especially in August)

The hotel itself wasn't anything special, but location was great and the bed very comfortable. If you are planing to visit most of the museums and attraction, I suggest to have breakfast at the hotel, it was 10€, but it was worth it and there was no need for food until early evening. The receptionist was very helpful. I will stay there again

So far the Hotels never looked like they do online. The room was clean, the breakfast , for the price ok, the location was great. Only 4 french programs on TV, old building, scary elevator, the staff didn't have to be super friendly....they were sold out twice during our stay. It was nice to have four beds in one room and still be able to move, bathroom was nice and big....but no shower curtain. Overall, a good stay...and after all..you are in Paris.

The hotel is very convenient to the Metro so getting around is a snap. There are rental bikes right outside the front door so cycling around Paris becomes a great option. We did not use the hotel restaurant but there are plenty of eating places within a couple of blocks, as well as via the Metro. The hotel was built in the early 1800's so modern amenitities should not be expected. The elevator fit 3 people, max, which made for fun. Hey, we were on vacation so we enjoyed ourselves. The room was very clean, plenty of towels. Street noise was not too bad when the windows were open but we did use the A/C when sleeping. Though TV was not high on our priority list, it does help one relax when going to bed, with that said, there are only 6 channels and only 1 that was English (BBC). That's cool, too, as it is interesting to watch TV from other countries. The down sides were a sluggish drain in the bath tube and not so good wifi(not free). All in all, a good experience.

In the general the hotel staff was nice. We had an issue with the room being very hot and stuffing. We talked to the staff on multiple occasions. They kept saying that it was getting fixed. They sent a lot of people up over three days. At one point, we requested just the window be open, but the staff said no, no, no the problem was fixed. On the third morning, the hotel stsaff finally said that the A/C could not be turned on. They argued that the room was not that bad, even though they had not been sleeping in there. I asked why they didn't tell us the first day that the A/C could not be turned on and just open the window. But he did not have an answer.

Wer für ein paar Tage Paris besuchen möchte ist hier gut aufgehoben. Das Hotel liegt sehr Zentral und zu Fuß zum Luvre dauert es gerade mal 15 - 20 Minuten. wer nicht laufen will, hat die Metro nebenan! Die Zimmer im Hotel sind klein, aber für Paris üblich. Die Betten und das Bad sind sauber. Für 10€ gibt es das Frühstücksbuffet. Für den Preis wirklich OK! Personal ist freundlich. Für meine nächstes Wochenende in Paris werde ich hier wieder einchecken.

Hotellin ehdottomasti paras puoli on sen sijainti. Itse hotelli on aika nukkavieru, mutta ihan siisti. Hissi tosi ahdas: yksi ihminen ja max keskikokoinen laukku mahtuu. Huone oli hyvin pieni ja niukasti kalustettu, mutta sänky hyvä ja kylpyhuone siisti. Liikenteen äänet eivät kuuluneet, mutta musiikki naapurihuoneesta kyllä. Aamupala oli kallis eikä rahalle saanut vastinetta. Munat olivat liian pitkään keitettyjä eikä mitään tuoreita hedelmiä tai vihanneksia ollut. Kaupunkilomalle hotelli oli ok, koska nukkumassahan siellä pääasiassa käytiin. Enempi oleskelu ei olisi ollut nautinnollista.

nous avons séjourné avec nos 2 enfants dans une chambre pour 4, plutôt spacieuse. La salle de bain était propre et pratique. Aucun problème de voisinage. Le quartier est très bien désservi par le métro. Nous y reviendrons.

Notre séjour s'est bien passé. hôtel très bien placé restaurant autour. Chambre petite mais très correcte
