Great location

Hotel is clean (except the carpets in the floor)- bathroom was new - it seems recently renovated. There are still some renovations ongoing. It's good for budget travelers.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Steps away from Metro and close distance to Gare de l'Est and Marais. East side of the hotel is a bit sketchy. Try walking through to South (Marais).

solid landing spot in 3rd

It's an OK hotel for budget travelers in Paris. The location is near the Marais, plenty of fairly cheap eating places nearby, one minute from the metro. The welcome was anything but warm, the guy behind the desk ranting about smoking in the room. But really, a decent place.

Visit a Paris

The Hotel has a very good Location but it is a Old Hotel with old Rooms. Staff are very kindly. Very close to Metro but if you Travel with car wont recommended. I just went to Paris for 2 days but if I spouse to be there for more days than definetly would change a Hotel. Breakfast were same every Morning. So you have to be prepared to eat each Morning same Food. It was a good price so I try it.;

Small but clean. Typical small elevator, but at least there is one. Good location and by Metro.

Just Okay

This place needs a paint job and some other refurbishments. It's extremely dated, feelings like the 1970s in there.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the Seine boat tour! Great way to see the best part of the city. Get off or walk to the Saint Michel district afterwards. If you're brave or in a large group, get some beers at a liqour/grocery store and drink along the river.

your money is worth to spend in this hotel

Good location: close to EuroStar train station (4 stops) and metro stop (half a block, and many metro lines connection); even though the neighboughhood is not that great, but it's safe to walk back from the metro to the hotel and eat out in a few very good and not expensive restaurants nearby. The staff are very helpful and very nice at the counter and in the breakfast room. You may want to bring your own towl because I saw the cleaning person put the clean towl on the hall way floor, but who knows what are a cleaning person does when you are not around? You cannot avoid that even in a 5 stars hotel. I will stay in this hotel again if it's the same price $95 (not likely go to Paris in a summer again especially in August)

Girls getaway

The hotel itself wasn't anything special, but location was great and the bed very comfortable. If you are planing to visit most of the museums and attraction, I suggest to have breakfast at the hotel, it was 10€, but it was worth it and there was no need for food until early evening. The receptionist was very helpful. I will stay there again

terrible

The staff changed every time I went in and they all say different things. Breakfast wasn't included with the room, wifi wasn't included either. Everything was an extra charge and the remote for the TV was not there. The refrigerator was broken and mold was growing in the mini bar. Absolutely not worth it.

3 Days in Paris

This is not a fancy hotel but meets the average requirements of tourists on a budget. The bathroom/room is small but clean and adequate for two people. Elevator is very small...only good for two people with no luggage. Easy access to Open Tour hop on-hop off bus or to Metro if you're adventurous(didn't try). From the train station Gare Est/Nord it costs around 10-13 euros depending on the traffic. The night staff was not as attentive as the Chinese lady day staff. She really took care of us getting the taxi on check out...it was not easy getting it on your own. We tried it for one hour but no one stopped on a very busy Wed morning. Lesson here: pre-arranged taxi the night before.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

There is a row of restaurants about ten minute walk. There is a decent italian restaurant just around the corner. The japanese resto across the street was not very customer-oriented. We sat there for a few minutes(we're the only ones) but no one approached us so we left. KFC is about two 7-minute walk if you're in the right direction.
