Convenient and good value
Hotel was clean, had helpful staff and was only a short walk from the Metro which only a few stops from the Louvre. Did not use bar/catering - there is good cafe a short walk away for breakfast. Price through e-bookers was good value.

Convenient to two metro stops (pink line/7) and Montmartre. The neighborhood offers nice restaurants from inexpensive to wonderful (Le Papillon), creperies, boulangeries, shops, epicerie (little grocerettes), a nice brasserie across the street for sandwiches and wine and beer, late night (Le Montholon). The room was teensy, but we didn't go to Paris to hang out in the hotel. Bed, excellent. Shower, half tub and bath bright and clean. They have a hair dryer, but I would bring mine from home, as theirs was only hot and my hair sometimes looked like fur. Only one outlet in the room, so we'd unplug the fridge at night for charging up camera and phone (which I only used for the camera, as roaming charges are insanely high.) The room was very dark, (only three low wall sconces), but bright when you opened the curtains during the day (and they kept the light out well when you wanted that for sleeping). Ours had a nice view of the park (Montholon) and streets, and the windows, when closed, made the noise disappear. The staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. The arrondissement is not exactly close to the Seine, but Opera and Galleries Lafayette were a 20-25 minute walk away. (The metro stop at Opera, two stops away, offers connecting lines.) Wonderful spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner at Le Corail, just steps away. It is not a 4 star hotel, but we liked it. It's about a 15-minute walk from Gare du Nord.

Some rough edges
My idea of a 4-star hotel didn't fit reality here. The room was TINY, even for a big city like Paris. There was very little light in the room, and it was noisy (esp for the 5th floor). In addition, Intermittent sounds like water rushing through drain pipes all night long were annoying. We didn't sleep well at all. On the positive side, there was free WiFi which worked pretty well, and a metro stop was a little over a block away, so the location worked fine.

Little getaway in the middle of Paris
Nice and quaint little hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms. Rooms were a little small but I guess that's just typical Parisian living. Located just 2 mins walk from the metro which connects to many locations in just under 20 mins.

Tiny, but all considered good value friendly staff.
After taking the train from CDG Airport...About a 45 minute trainride at about 10 Euro per person, we arrived at Gare du Nord...kinda a maze finding your way out of the station...however..after getting out into "daylight" it was even a bigger maze finding your way to the hotel...no rime or reason to the way the streets run, and the street names can be hard to find...written on little blue signs on the walls of the buildings...Hovever after walking around for a good 40 minutes..(Lost at times)...we finally found it. Rooms are very tiny, & little worn, but clean and otherwise acceptable. Nice location & easy walking distance from the Opera...where you can catch a sightseeing bus (Double Decker) that will take you to all the tourist places worth seeing for about 26 Euro pr person for a two day ticket...you can hop on, hop off at each location & buses run every 10 minutes all day long between 8am thru appx 10pm.... Enjoyed our short stay, but highly recomend Taxi or shuttle to & from the hotel...if not familiar..:-)

A good 3* hotel
A 3* Paris hotel in a good location with no frills. There is a metro stop nearby Poissioniere and Gare De Nord (Main central train station). The room is small, but has everything you need. The tv has french channels only, which didn't bother me as I was out most of the time exploring. The staff are friendly and keen to please. The bed linen is changed daily and new towels are brought in daily. Don't come here expecting 4* amenities, but do expect some quaint french charm.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
The metro touch screen ticket machines can be operated in English, buy a set of 10 single tickets, which will work out cheaper than buying day tickets. Circa 12 euros.

One night in Paris
Needed a place to stay for my overnight layover in Paris. This place is good for that. Small but chic. Near lot's of food, metro. Everything extra will cost, but hey that's Europe:)

Pleased
This was a very good location for using the Metro and was situated in a nice, safe area of Paris near the Opera. The hotel was small, the rooms were small with a very small closet, but this was not a negative for us. The price we paid (average of $200 per night) was very reasonable. The people at the hotel were all very helpful, and the morning breakfast was nicely done: rolls, fruit, eggs, juices, coffee, yogurt. I would highly recommend this to all who are price conscious.
