Hotel Aviatic Saint Germain

We traveled to Paris for our honeymoon. The Aviatic Hotel was a short walking distance to the metro. Staff was very helpful and respectful. Rooms were small but clean. Size of the room was not a problem since we were out of the room for the majority of the day.

Late arrival on a friday evening only to find hotel had no record of the booking. Entrance was just as in the photos - very smart - but the decor did not extend to our small room at the back of the hotel. Total cost £450 incl breakfast for 2 for 2 nights.

The hotel was exactly how it looks in the pictures, charming and inviting. It is located close to several subway stations and within walking distance of the Luxembourg Gardens. The area around the hotel has lots of delicious Patisseries and Creperies. We only stayed for 2 days, and that wasn't nearly enough. I would absolutely stay there again and recommend it to friends. The only negative point was the relatively rude man at the front desk. He encompasses all the Parisian stereotypes.

All services were good, except that no iron could be borrowed due to safety reasons. If I knew this earlier, I'd have brought a travelling iron with me.

Located in the SW section of the 6th arrondisement on the Left Bank sits the Hotel Aviatic. Ten minutes from the Gare Montparnasse( Air France bus drop off/pick up for CDG airport) A small but comfortable hotel with a very helpful and gracious staff. Close to several Metro stations that grant you quick and efficent access to all of the city. Easy walking to neighborhood cafes, restaurants and shops. If your French is not the best, do not worry, Parisians are gracious and helpful. English is widely understood but knowing a few French phrases (especially pertaining to hello, goodbye and thank you) goes a long way.

What a wonderful place to stay. Near subways and trains. riendly, helpful staff who all spoke English. Rooms were small but extremely comfortable and clean. Complimentary wine each evening just added to the friendly warm atmosphere. We would recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent location - good access to Metro and main station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Spotlessly clean, sheets and towels changed daily. Would definitely reccommend. Will use again.

Other Paris hotels I've used before have provided a room that was not much more than a bed and a bathroom: i.e., a space where you don't want to spend any more time than is absolutely necessary,. The Aviatic was much, much nicer than that. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I spent 8 nights here and was very happy indeed.

The location is superb. Around the corner from the hotel is the Montparnasse-Bienvenue metro station, which serves six of the 14 metro lines, which makes for easy access to greater Paris. Even better, for those preferring to walk through the streets of Paris, the hotel is a 15 minute walk from the Jardins du Luxembourg, and a 20-30 minute walk (straight) from the Quartier Latin, Sorbonne district, St Germaine de pres, and St. Michel. The immediate vicinity of Montparnasse has cinemas, restaurants, cafes and more for those days when you don't want to stray too far away. The six cinemas near the hotel are particularly great when you need to balance Paris' other cultural treasures. Staff is friendly, helpful and multilingual. They're happy to give suggestions and are quite knowledgeable. If there was a drawback, the standard room is small even by European standards. Still, the rooms are clean, tastefully decorated and have comfortable beds. Besides, one does not spend too much time in their room when in Paris.
