Located in the heart of the Montparnasse district, this design hotel is just 30 metres from the Raspail Metro stop. The htel Aiglon is located in the heart of Montparnasse, close by many theatres, the Fondation Cartier, the Catacombs and some mythical Parisian brasseries such as La Closerie des Lilas. The area is quiet though central, a few steps from the metro station Raspail. The lounge and breakfast room are decorated in a contemporary manner, mixing light blue, warm plum and bright colors. You will enjoy this decor skimming through one of the numerous art books from the library. The hotel Aiglon manages to create a link between present and attachment to artists and writers from the past. The artists Bunuel and Giacometti used to stay in the hotel. Most of the 46 rooms of the hotel offer clear views. Many of them are renovated according to the 20's style. Bathrooms are decorated with Art Deco mosaics made by the artist Mathilde Jonquire. Guest rooms are modern and stylish with free Wi-Fi access. Parking at cost 28 euros per person and per day. Extra bed at cost 30 euros per person and per day.

Friendly People, easy access

It is a few steps from one of the metro stations, and about a block from another. Near many nice places to eat. The hotel is renovated, the rooms are small, but so are most of the rooms in Paris. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. I would return there tomorrow if I had a chance.

Lovely hotel and convenient for travel

Hotel was lovely. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. On arrival they talk you through a free map and highlight areas to go and also areas to avoid especially at night. We stopped at reception and asked questions a few times. They were happy to help with directions to shops and restock us with coffee/milk for our rooms. The room was very comfortable with a small balcony out the front. The road is quiet outside but a short walk will take you to bars and restaurants. It's in easy walking distance to the catacombs and the cemetery as well as the montparnasse tower and station. Just across the street is raspail metro which we found so easy to use as it's much like London tube although not so busy. The line takes you directly into the city to Notre Dame or to the Eiffel Tower. We had 3 night staying at this hotel and was perfect for what we needed. The train RER line B also stops at the next station along and is the best way of getting to the Charles de Gaul airport. Loved it and would stay their again.

Time-saving tip: Not Applicable

Use the metro. I have visited Paris a couple of times before. Once as an organised trip and was transported by coach and the second time with a friend and we got round the city in an open top bus. This time we used the metro and it's so much quicker and so much easier than I thought it would be. A 3day pass for zones 1-3(City) is about €24 and well worth it. We definitely got our money's worth.

Hotel Aiglon

Overall it was a nice stay. Tiny elevator that had a door that opened out right next to our room. Fun light features to conserve energy. Small but clean and efficient bathroom. Wonderful staff. No complaints for the price. We stayed in a quiet area but was within walking distance to many restaurants and the subway. I would recommend it!

Loving Hotel Aiglon

My wife and I were looking for an affordable hotel off the beaten path (i.e. away from tourist centers) and we found that at Hotel Aiglon. THe staff was more than accommodating and the ease of check in and check out was appreciated.

Good place

Was easy enough to find, and very close to the metro. I didn't get the breakfast as most reviewers recommended against it, and there was plenty of options outside the hotel. The view was great, and the room was decent. It's true, there are no shower curtains, so be careful with that. Mostly, I was impressed with the staff. Incredibly helpful and polite.

Romantic Quiet Paris Hotel

We loved our stay at Hotel Aiglon, the staff were very helpful and perfect English due to our poor French! Room just right overlooking the road but view of trees and gentle traffic. Shower amazing and lovely huge comfortable bed.. didn't need our my feather pillow I had squeezed into the suitcase!

Solo trip to Paris for 2 nights

I cannot fault this hotel. It's located just a few metres to the entrance of Raspail Metro station which serves 2 lines. All the staff I encountered were extremely friendly and I would not have any problems approaching them if needed. I stayed in a renovated room which was tastefully decorated, bed was comfortable, very clean and I felt the space was perfect for 1. Although you can get cheaper hotels in Paris I would recommend paying slightly extra for Hotel Aiglon and also for the renovated rooms. Although there wasn't any tea/coffee making facilities in the room the staff are happy to provide a kettle for tea/coffee upon request. I highly recommend this hotel (it was much better than the previous hotel I stayed at in Paris where I paid about €30 less per night but it was absolutely terrible). I would definitely stay at Hotel Aiglon again next time I'm in town :)
