Very nice. Room a bit small if staying more than a few days.

If going to Monet's gardens organise it yourself. Only had 1 1/2 hours there. You would need 4 hours to see everything. Great day out.

nice little hotel in an accessible location.

very friendly staff, and helpful w/directions. nice little hotel right in Paris, walking distance to everything, one block from bus and metro, yet not smack in the chaos of the more tourist-filled, high-end part of Paris. several great bakeries and 2 grocery stores as well as countless restaurants, bars and cafes within 3 blocks of the place. rooms are a bit small, but good value, and likely no smaller than most Paris places.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The hotel offers a great buffet breakfast, but if you don't want to eat a lot, and you want to get started visiting Paris, just walk 2 blocks in any direction, get something at a bakery, and eat as you walk and visit Paris :) A croissant-a-day may not keep the doctor away, but it'll sure make you smile while you're in Paris.

Good Little Hotel

Staff were friendly and helpful. Lobby and reception area pleasant. Bed very comfy. No nasty construction work. Would have preferred stand up shower but no big deal. Price was good. Good location near tube.

Basic but no problems

Stayed here for 3 nights. It is pretty basic accommodation but didn't have any issues. The WiFi was not free.

don't stay here

Obtz seems to market really well for hotels such as this one. Don't be fooled by Obtz or the hotel you think is a great deal...this is the 3rd bad experience we fell for thinking was a good deal on Obtz. End of story

Too noisy!!!

Our room was small, but adequate for Paris standards. There were two problems with our room - the smell and the noise. Our room had a strange musty smell, so we had to keep the windows open. The noise from traffic and construction which was going on across the street was terrible. We couldn't close the windows because the smell, and the noise made it hard to sleep. On a positive side, the employees were very nice and all spoke English. Also, the hotel was located very close to a subway stop. The hotel was located in area 17, so it was not the best location, but the location to a subway stop made it ok.

An American visiting family in Paris

Stayed 15 nights in winter. The room was small but average size by Paris standards. Queen size bed was very comfortable, the room was warm and located on the sixth floor rear. It had lots of light, an open view on the courtyard, and was blissfully quiet (there is construction going on across from the front of the building). Location is a bit out of the way, but close to a metro stop on a line that goes directly to the Champs Elysees. Last not least, the staff (particularly at the reception desk) did everything they could to ensure that my stay was most pleasant.

First time in Paris

For some reason, the price is much below the standard in Paris, but the quality is more than satisfactory. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this hotel.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Best way to get around the city is to take the Metro (Subway) at the nearby station (3 min walk).

construction zone

Plan to wipe off your shoes after walking on Rue Cardinet because as the title says, this is a construction zone of both the street in front of the place, and a new building directly accross from it that will likely take a year to complete. That said, the location was reasonable, not directly on a busy street (maybe this will be different once the construction is complete) but close to restaraunts as probably all Paris hotels are. Given the breakfast at 20 and internet at 10, I didn't even quote the bar but I was there to walk around anyway.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Train was only a block away and only 20-30 minutes from anywhere, this is probably the same for most hotels. Get a full street map before going, (the tourist map from the hotel worked just fine but again, get it ahead of time if you are not taking a taxi to the hotel) or finding any place in Paris is a job as all but the major street names change every few blocks and the train/bus maps do not have streets shown on them, just the stops. 3 day pass was I think 30EU and worth it to be able to pop on and off any train anywhere.

Disappointed

Room was not ready when we arrived and had not been cleaned. Upon entering room, dirty sheets and towels piled on floor. BIG CONSTRUCTION SITE across the street and was very loud. Noise woke us up very early each morning and could not leave windows open. Room was warm, stuffy and A/C did not work. Because of construction, water was shut off to hotel and we did not have water from 0900-1400. Had to set alarm early in order to use bathroom. Wifi connection was intermittent and had to pay for it. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Renting/riding bikes in Paris saved time and was a blast! But if you don't feel comfortable weaving in and out of traffic, I wouldn't recommend.
