Sickening

If you book this hotel, you MUST call the front desk before you go there, and verify that they REALLY have your reservation and confirmation number in their computer. My son was charged over $1800.00 for a booking they could not find, UNTIL HIS VACATION WAS OVER! Neither the Front Desk clerk Mohammed on May 26th, nor the lady running the front desk on May 27th could find my son's PRE-PAID room reservation for his girlfriend. It was not in the computer upon their arrival. Still, he was charged for the whole 6 night stay and, after 3 months of having the credit card company argue this case, we still have not been able to convince anyone that Olya was NOT a no-show. Even a picture taken in the lobby did not help. The Manager called us liars and claimed his staff would never have turned the girl away, but that's not true. There are better places to stay in Paris. How could we even cancel a reservation they couldn't find until the vacation was over? We are now stuck for the price of the room they wouldn't give her due to their own computer failure! Give yourself a break....stay somewhere else!

Very blah hotel in Paris

I have traveled throughout Europe and know what to expect from a "standard room". Usually they are tiny, but this room was tiny + depressing. My view on the 7th floor is of an air conditioning vent. The window starts very high (probably at about 4.5 feet) and is the only source of natural light in the room. Ceilings are low. The bathroom is nice. Neighborhood is very blah, and everything is closed on Sundays. Do not recommend. The reason I am staying here is it is close to my corporate headquarters.

Falsely advertised a room rate

I booked my hotel through a popular travel website. I was given three options. 1. Room alone was one rate, 2. Room with Internet was another rate and 3. Room with Internet and Breakfast was another rate. I chose the room with Internet and paid the extra amount. I arrived at the the hotel and they just kept telling me no, the internet is not included. I showed them my booking and they asked me to email it their supervisor, which I did twice with no response. I went to the desk and explained how I booked it and they DID NOT care. They just kept telling me no. Customer Service you will NOT find at this Holiday Inn. The room was extremely noisy. I had an Exit sign in my room that glowed neon green and kept me awake. Their solution was to put a towel over it, which did not help. I ended up wrapping a scarf around to block the light. The only good thing was the location, which says nothing for the hotel. I am a priority club member, which is the main reason I stayed here. Will I return, NEVER? Will I recommend to anyone? NEVER Will I bad mouth this hotel and tell everyone to stay away, YES.

Great place to stay to explore Paris

We spent 9 days here exploring Paris and happily coming back to rest to our room.. The room was exceptionally clean (great sheets & pillows, brand new bathrooms, air cond., tea bags/coffee, flat screen TV, etc.), outstanding hotel services, knowledgeable and helpful staff speaking excellent English, metro station (2 major lines) 20 ft from the front door, tons of places to eat round the corner. Overall, a really great experience. A few minor complaints: room's too small (though, you'd expect it in Paris) - not even an arm-chair to lounge in; TV showed mostly news and entertainment in French only; breakfast expensive - 18 euros, so we went out every morning. I highly recommend the place.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

On Rue Monmartre (50 ft round the corner), there are many French and ethnic restaurants. Check one, in particular, "Chartier." About 3 blocks down is a Cafe "Chez Jean' with an incredible orange juice squeezing machine and great pastries. It is almost always open. There is a great Boulangerie (baker) about the same distance from the hotel. Buying local cheese, fresh bread and a bottle of nice red was on some nights better than going to a fomer dinner. -:)

Good and nice hotel beside metro station

We were very pleased. Hotel staff was friendly, breakfast was quite expensive but worth it, rooms were clean and looked new. It also had tea and coffee making facilities which was nice. Situation was excellent because metro station was 6 steps away from hotel door. Only negative thing was noise from garden at 5.30 am every morning.
