Great place to stay to explore Paris

We spent 9 days here exploring Paris and happily coming back to rest to our room.. The room was exceptionally clean (great sheets & pillows, brand new bathrooms, air cond., tea bags/coffee, flat screen TV, etc.), outstanding hotel services, knowledgeable and helpful staff speaking excellent English, metro station (2 major lines) 20 ft from the front door, tons of places to eat round the corner. Overall, a really great experience. A few minor complaints: room's too small (though, you'd expect it in Paris) - not even an arm-chair to lounge in; TV showed mostly news and entertainment in French only; breakfast expensive - 18 euros, so we went out every morning. I highly recommend the place.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

On Rue Monmartre (50 ft round the corner), there are many French and ethnic restaurants. Check one, in particular, "Chartier." About 3 blocks down is a Cafe "Chez Jean' with an incredible orange juice squeezing machine and great pastries. It is almost always open. There is a great Boulangerie (baker) about the same distance from the hotel. Buying local cheese, fresh bread and a bottle of nice red was on some nights better than going to a fomer dinner. -:)

Good and nice hotel beside metro station

We were very pleased. Hotel staff was friendly, breakfast was quite expensive but worth it, rooms were clean and looked new. It also had tea and coffee making facilities which was nice. Situation was excellent because metro station was 6 steps away from hotel door. Only negative thing was noise from garden at 5.30 am every morning.
