Constructed from stone and designed in a classical European style with arched windows, iron-railed balconies and dormers, The Crowne Plaza Paris Republique offers guests a quintessentially French stay. Interiors feature an eye-catching courtyard with seating areas from which to enjoy the surrounding trees and bushes, while several conference zones are great for business events. Renovated guestrooms range from standard to Executive Club Level and indulgent Suites - with their own private dining spaces (and a commanding drawing room in the Presidential Suite). Sip cocktails in the lounge, or dine on European cuisine at Le Dix - the Crowne Plaza Paris Republique's on-site restaurant.

Neighborhood

Hints and tips

Paris getaway

391 room did not have internet. The internet is not complementary, 7.50 Euro/hour. No TV channels for childern's after 8:00 AM. Room was small, but clean, very quiet with very good AC. Hotel has very good location for subway and restaurants.

Crowne Plaza Republique

The hotel was basically clean and in a good location, but I would not go back. We had to pay for internet use, and 3 Euros to make an outside call. Also breakfast was not included and the only breakfast served was 25 Euros per person. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Crowne Plazea Paris

The hotel is very clean, and the staff is helpful and pleasant. Most speak English very well. We had a fourth room floor, which had a great view and was quiet. There is a market out the front door and a block or so (past the Darty) to the left. Unfortunately, we didn't find it until our last day. It would be a great way to save money! A crepe stand across the square was run by a very friendly young man. He didn't speak much English, but he was very nice. The Metro location is very good. The 11, 5, and 9 will take you where you need to go, and Republique is a major hub. Concierge was friendly and helpful. The bar was great, but a little too expensive to be a frequent hangout. Overall, a great hotel, and we'd definitely stay again!

nice for th monye

overall the hotel is very nice . The rooms are kind of small but i think that is true of all pairs hotels. me an my sister hated how hot the room were.we opened the window but cars and the cafe next to us was very noise. to get to the hotel form the airport we had to get a taxi it was the easiest way we paid around 35 euros for it. they do have a metro station right next to the hotel which is excellent. overall we liked the hotel and recommend it for other travelers.

Paris in February

I did not realize how much the internet had become a part of my routine communications with family and friends. The hotel charged 7 euros an hour or 18 euros for twenty four hours of internet access. When trying to connect to the hotel's internet a prompt to call the front desk for an access code displayed. The process of receiving a code took about 15 minutes and was completely manual. The code received was for the wireless network and initially worked very well. Later in the evening the connection was spotty and seemed to drop randomly. I contacted the main desk for assistance and was informed there was no available wireless in the room and that the computer would have to be connected via the ethernet cable. When the code expired, the front desk had to be contacted for another. The next code received would only work if the computer was not connected to the ethernet cable. Very frustrating. For most of my travel experiences this one amenity is standard and included in the cost of the room. Here the added expense was extremely over priced. It seemed especially miserly when many other locations openly offered free service. For the cost of the room, this should have been afforded. A few calls from the states to the hotel never reached the room. The caller complained that when dialing the main hotel number no one answered at the desk. There was a charge for all local calls by the minute but no information regarding this cost was readily available in the room or listed on the website. Discovering the charge at check out was disappointing. The walk from the hotel to the main Paris attractions was more than a mile and with the weather changing constantly it was more efficient to use the metro. The location had a metro stop right in front that gave you access to the attractions and locations of interest. Easy access, understandable signs and instructions on how to get to your destinations made the metro very user friendly. There is a pastry shop just behind the hotel that served fabulous coffee and pastry every day. Business was brisk and the staff, very helpful. For 2.50 euros you could have a coffee and croissant. The room was clean and comfortable. The area around the hotel was bustling. There were several cafes to dine at near by. The weather in Paris in February was cold and damp. It rained and snowed while there. On warmer days, temperatures were in the high 30's fahrenheit and walking outside was brisk but with a good coat and scarf it was enjoyable.

A museum pass can be purchased at the airport when you arrive. It is priced by the days of use and gives you access to many of the Paris museums. Its most powerful feature was the bypassing of the lines to access the museums. Depending on how many of the area museums you are planning on visiting it is a cost saver as well. It provides unlimited access to all the museums listed on the pass.

Crowne Plaza Paris

This was our first trip to Paris and other than the reviews from [...] we weren't sure what to expect. From the moment we arrived it was perfect. The entire staff was very welcoming and spoke very good English. Our room was smaller than American hotels but that's to be expected in Paris. We opened our double doors to the square outside and could see the Eiffel tower in the distance, it was PERFECT. The wait staff were friendly, the food exquisite and the only complaint was we had to leave. There were little bistros and shopping on every corner with easy access to the subway system, the Metro. I would highly recommend the Crown Plaza in Paris.

With so much to do and see don't try to make a set schedule for every day, we got lost down side streets and discovered a whole new world that wouldn't be in any brochure. Don't be afraid to explore, it's a beautiful city.

Crown Plaza

Food abpove average at resturant and longe. However, breakfast left something to be desired, overpriced. Hot food rather bland and tasteless. Staff delightful especially felt welcome by the two Conceriege that served us. Nearness to Marias was a definite plus.
