Up coming area
Elevator out of service and had to move to lower floor. Not enough towels or water. No ice. Had to ask for almost everything. No wash cloths. Tiny rooms and drab decor.

Best Western Opera Grands Boulevards - P
We chose this hotel because it was a 3 star Best Western that offered airport shuttle service at a nominal cost and air conditioning. In truth, the airport shuttle service is only available FROM the hotel to the airport. Additionally, the cost is not nominal. For our family of 3, the cost far exceeded that of a taxi. When we arrived in the late afternoon, our room was warm. We attributed it to cost savings measures, adjusted the a/c and went to dinner. Upon our return at 10 pm, the room was stifling hot. Turns out the a/c unit for that portion of the building had broken much earlier in the day but we were not informed of the problem when we checked in. Additionally, the evening manager was unpleasant and uncooperative when we asked if we could be moved to an a/c room in the hotel or be transferred to another Best Western hotel. He even refused to provide a fan to move the air and make the room bearable. At that late hour, we were stuck. Late in the afternoon our 2nd night, we received a fan. We were booked in this hotel for 3 days at during unseasonably warm weather in Paris. Any requests for updates on the a/c repair were met with abrupt and somewhat rude responses. Communication with patrons was NOT a strength. At 8:30 pm on the last night of our stay, we were offered the option of moving to another Best Western after being told they had received a copy of our complaint to BW Headquarters. We refused the belated offer because we were leaving at 5:30 am the next morning and wanted to spend our last evening in Paris doing what we were there to do - sightsee. We will be submitting a formal complaint to BW headquarters regarding all of these concerns.

Go on-line and google the underground railway system before you go, then buy a multiple day pass. It makes using the underground, which is affordable and reliable transport, very easy to use. It was easy to stay on one side of Paris and still have full access to other parts of the city. But be prepared for LOTS of stairs up and down to access the underground trains. Also - be heading for home by 11 pm as the trains don't operate after midnight in most areas.

Prix obtenu avec [site Internet] très interessant . Ceci étant , cet hotel ne mérite pas , à mon avis un classement 3* ( chambre petites , revêtement murs et sols sale )
