Simple but Great!
Great location in the Latin Quarter with a lot of small cafe's nearby. Less than a block off the Seine just the other side of Notre Dame. They did speak English which I found comforting as I was travelling alone and was the first visit to France. Small rooms - but clean with modern bathroom.

In the heart of the Latin Quarter....Left Bank
This hotel has been renovated. The cleanliness, friendly staff and location make up for the small room size. A breakfast buffet (optional) is available. The Metro stop St. Michel is just steps away and across the bridge is the magnificent Notre-Dame Cathedral. Would return!

Room was smaller than we expected. We had a Triple. beds were very comfortable. Rain shower was great. WiFi reception was very good. You couldn't beat the location. Central to everything! Breakfast food had good selection. We found most people friendly & helpful in Paris. We lucked out with good weather. Stayed 5 nights.

Definitely Recommend
I booked this hotel based on its ratings, which were accurate for the most part. The rooms are pretty small and the streets are noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. However, you are hardly in the room while in Paris anyway. The rooms were very clean, and almost all of the people at the front desk were very helpful. And the best part about the hotel is its location. You can walk to almost all of the major attractions. Would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay again.

Happyt Grandma
Paris was charming, welcoming and very fun!
From the moment we arrived at the Albe Hotel we felt welcomed and special. The staff was most accommodating and always seemed happy to see us. We appreciated all the hints about safety, directions and good places to dine. We didn't take advantage of the breakfasts everyday, but only because we were so close to so many wonderful creperies and pastry shops. It would have been nice to have coffee available during the day or in our rooms. This was an ideal holiday to share with my 17 year old granddaughter and my girlfriend. We shopped in stores close to the hotel which we found to be affordable. There wasn't any part of the city that we didn't go to either on the Metro or by taxi (when we wore high heels). Moulin Rouge was a delightful treat as was our trip to Versailles. Of course our last night spent at the Eiffel Tower was our highest moment, both literally and figuratively. Shakespeare Book Co. near Notre Dame was also a find for us. Such a clean and lovely city. We would love to return and would probably select the same hotel. Thank you, Paris, for all the memories.

Entertainment tip:
Short walk from hotel
Stroll and take in all the marvelous street performers. So many talented people. Always try to speak in French and don't expect all Parisiennes to speak English clearly. They usually understand what we say, but are reluctant to speak it, especially if we don't try to speak French first.

Great location! Cooperative staff.
This was a family trip to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We have been to Paris before and wanted to stay on the Left Bank. The Albe met all our needs and more. The location (next to Place St Michel) was very convenient. We walked everywhere or took the nearby Metro. Although the rooms were on the small side, they were comfortable and spotless and the staff always had a smile regardless of the question/request. They even let me use their computer to print our boarding passes. The breakfast was also a good way to start the day and all you can eat. I definitely will stay here again the next time I visit Paris.

Guy's trip
My two sons and I just returned from a week touring Paris. We stayed at the Albe which is located perfectly for easy travel to any destination. (That includes our day trip to London via train.) Both the RER Lines and the Metro are mere steps from the lobby. The staff was inviting and all spoke fluent English. They were helpful with directions and suggestions to any interest a traveler may have. The rooms were comfortable, clean, appropriately decorated with adequate storage space. The beds were three twins and my son who is 6'4" easily fit on the bed which we all agreed were very comfortable. The bathrooms were recently refurbished and were done well. The new windows do provide a good buffer to the sound below and we were rarely aware of the lively night life once in our rooms, with the exception of the very loud and understandable celebration by the Spanish soccer fans in their EU championship win. I read many reviews before choosing this hotel and I would certainly recommend staying at the Albe. We had a very enjoyable and pleasant stay.

Short walk from hotel
Spend some time and review the train (RER) and subway (Metro) maps and learn to read the schedules. Plan where you want to go and then use the interactive map and plan your travels in advance if you are a first time visitor.

Great Location
Very clean rooms, small but with everything you could need. Excellent location for RER and transport. Lots of eating places around hotel. The 'rules' about not keeping our drinks in the room mini bar and no food or drink allowed in the room were a bit OTT! Breakfast was nice but very expensive at 12 Euros for a boiled egg, toast and ham I would not recommend taking the breakfast at these prices, plenty of cafes next to the hotel. Paris is fantastic, we walked everywhere.
