Stylish hotel with urbane appeal in the heart of Nice

Hotel Ellington, located in an elegant district in the heart of Nice, provides convenient access to the beach. The 4-star, pet-friendly hotel has an air of casual refinement, a subtle blend of styles. Handsome architecture, typical of 1920s Nice, frames a patio with a hint of southern Spain. Other hotel details include molded ceilings, rich wood floors, designer furniture, and a bar straight out of the swing era.

It was our first time in Nice.

It was our first time in Nice. The hotel staff was very kind and friendly and give us all the information we need to get around in the city. The hotels location is perfect, short way to the old city, the railway and shopping og restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was very good/various. Hope to come back some time.

From the hotel, you can walk to the main bus station and take bus to Monaco, Cannes, Grasse, airport etc.

Great hotel

Ellington was a great hotel in pretty good location. There was about 1 km walk down to the ocean an about the same distance was the city center. I really liked the style of this hotel: it was clean, quit and confortable. Happy hour was also great and we spent fairly many moments in the hotel bar. It was nice to come back to the hotel after long day and have few drinks in the patio. Overall we liked this place very much I could think coming back next time in Nice.

Dans l'ensemble

Nous n'avons pas reçu un très bon accueil. Le personnel n'a pas toujours été très avenant à notre égard. Niveau qualité/prix, je trouve les tarifs tout de même élevés. Certe, l'hôtel est bien situé, (au centre de la ville de Nice) dans un quartier très calme mais les chambres ne ressemblent que très peu aux photos mises sur leur site internet. En conclusion, je ne pense pas retourner dans cet hôtel pour mon prochain séjour à Nice.

Good location

Location of hotel is great, but I wish I could say the same about hotel. Lobby areas are in good shape, but rooms are very tiny and unpleasant. It took a plenty of arrangements to fit two persons with two suitcase in one room. Condition of room was not what I expected when signing into just renovated four star hotel. Carpet was "smiling", bathroom was out of date and you can even hear people talk and sneeze in room next to yours. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel as a four star, maximum is three stars. There were also some problems when checking in. Signing in time was 14:00, but even after 15:00 front desk had to check if our room was ready.

pas terrible pour un trois étoiles

notre salle de bain était vieillotte et n'avait pas de ventilation. Il y avait donc beaucoup d'humidité dans la chambre. le nettoyage était plus qu'approximatif. Il manquait une partie d'un volet à la fenêtre, il était cassé et n'avait pas été réparé. presque chaque jour, nos cartes pour rentrer dans la chambre ne fonctionnait plus. pour le petit déjeuner, une salade de fruits en boîte pour 16 EUR.
