Decent option if you get a good deal

By good deal I mean packaged deals from travel agents - it can get significantly cheaper than the rate from the hotel itself! Like the location. 5 mins from the beach and 15 mins walk to Cours Saleya. Within sight from the hotel door you'll find a couple of mini markets, patisseries, sushi shop and restaurants. Very convenient to stock up food and drinks. A couple of car parks nearby and the one in Rue Grimaldi is very close (EUR 8 per night). But the hotel itself doesn't have any space for car park. The road in front of it is one way, narrow and can be quite busy. Room is clean, smallish but has basic stuff like TV, wardrobe, desk and chair. The biggest problem is the thin door. Gets quite noisy when people pass in front of it, especially at night. Probably not ideal for light sleepers. Reception can speak good English but level of attention varies. Katerina was especially good with responding to emails and providing information before arrival. But the others were okay and as expected for a small hotel.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

Don't be tempted to rent bike from Veloblue (there's a bike stand near the hotel). Infrastructure is rather poor. Need to phone up to register, bike not very convenient, a lot of bike stands are broken and you get all sorts of trouble and time wasted (and maybe money wasted too). For example, my bike was returned and locked in the stand but not registered as returned. Customer service was in French only and not even picking up phone during public holiday (supposed to be 24x7).

Sightseeing tip: Short walk from hotel

Old city is close at hand for which a guided tour can be arranged, otherwise visit the tourist info on the front and obtain a map which includes tour directions (mine was in french).
