Okay, but not what I paid for.

I was staying overnight in Nice after flying in and before taking the train onwards the following morning. The location was very convenient for those purposes. Overall the hotel was fine but I booked a room that was supposed to have two twin beds or a double bed and instead received a room with one twin bed. Also, the "free internet" did not exist. I had requested a non smoking room but did not receive this either. Needless to say I was a little disappointed.

Good location for the price!

The Best Western Hotel de Madrid was nice and clean, we had great customer service and it was strategically located close to the tram. We were able to find nice and affordable restaurants in the area. The room and specially the bathroom were too small.

Great Value

Great service and friendly. Wifi worked well. Rooms some of the largest we had on this trip. Nice queen size bed and very quiet location. Just a couple blocks from the train station and about 20 minutes walk to the beach. Neighborhood is certainly entertaining and there are several good restaurants very close with a great breakfast dinner diagonal to the hotel. If you really need it McDonalds is less than a block away.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

Great grocery store within 3-4 blocks on the main street. You can get anything here. We bought a whole roast chicken for 8.5 euros, a bottle of great wine, bread and salad for an additional 12 euros to have a nice dinner on the beach. The store is about halfway to the beach from the hotel (don't go there between 4 and 6 as it is packed)

horible, terrible hotel

Terrible hotel. Cold shower no hot water. In a very undesirable area, sex shops & gross drunks. The worst Best Western we have ever been in.[...]

Hotel Review

Great location. But the room is very small. Especially, bathrom is so small that you can't even move. The bad is not as comfortanle as other 3 star hotels I have seen.

Well situated Hotel, near Railway

Well situated Hotel, near Railway station and the main shopping area, L'Avenue Jean M'edecin. Short stroll to the Old Town and Promenade Des Anglais.
