Family-run, centrally located hotel in the heart of Nice
The Hotel Acanthe is located in the heart of Nice, opposite the Albert 1st garden, close to Old Town's shops, restaurants, and a flower market, and within walking distance of the Promenade des Anglais and beach. This comfortable, family-run property, in an attractive Belle Epoque building, offers Wi-Fi, elevators, and 24-hour room service.

- The rooms are of a medium to small size with high ceilings. Although very basic, they are comfortable and clean. The decor is rather plain and traditional but both rooms and bathrooms are in good condition. All bathrooms have been tastefully refurbished with cream and dark brown tiles.

Only stayed one night on the drive from France to Italy. Would stay here again, but for several days and ask for a front room, they would be a little larger and have a good out look.

Facilities were extremely basic.
Facilities were extremely basic. Bathroom was filthy and smelly. Bed mites.very uncomfortable room.

The hotel is in an amazing location - walking distance from everything (assuming you don't mind walking). The service is excellent - everyone speaks English and is very helpful. The hotel itself is fine for a couple of days if you don't mind roughing it - it's definitely one star - very basic, but it works for sleeping. The cleanliness is not up to my personal standards, but it's really not that bad. There are a lot of hotels in the surrounding area that are probably worth looking at as well. I would not have stayed here if it wasn't to save money. Going back, I would stay somewhere else and spend more, but this is a very good option for those trying to save. There is free wifi in the lobby (doesn't work in the rooms) and a very minimal complimentary breakfast (croissant, bread, tea, coffee). Nice is beautiful.

Great Location & great value.
Great Location & great value. Good breakfast for a 1 star hotel. Room was tiny - but who stays in their room in Nice! & bathroom was a good size. No air-con (but wasn't expecting any!) but large fan provided in room. I'd definately go back & stay there again.

If you want to sleep in the hotel
If you want to sleep in the hotel only this is the best place for you because of its location. Staff is nice, breakfast very poor.

Super Lage
Das Hotel liegt im Zentrum und dadurch ist alles gut erreichbar. Das Zimmer ist jedoch klein wie das Bett und Bad auch! Für 2 Personen ist das Bett weniger geeignet! Hat einen keine Klimaanlage. Durch die Wände hört man alles von den Zimmernachbaren. Ansonsten OK.

The hotel has a reasonable plice
The hotel has a reasonable plice and a very nice location near the bus terminal. And the stuffs are all kind with friendly smile and speak clear English. And also the breakfast is good ! But the bath room is too small for me, and it takes some time until hot water come. That's sad, I really enjoyed the hotel in my travel !

Old place needing to be refurbished.
Old place needing to be refurbished. In fact it has some working at the time. Very simple acomodations with old furniture and worn carpet. Very, very simple breakfast. Nice its a expensive city. They till charge the use of toillets at the sopping center (ETOILE)! Parking its an adventure and VERY expensive.
