Great weekend spot
Friendly welcome on arrival from a helpful receptionist who suggested a great restaurant nearby for dinner. Hotel decor is nice - room was clean & bright with free wifi which worked very well. Great location - just off the Place de la Comedie, 2 minutes walk from the tram, close to the Gare St-Roch (main train station) and a short walk to the old town. Food: Breakfast in hotel was €12 each - we didn't try it. Lots of cheap specials in Place de la Comedie for around €5 (juice, coffee, yogurt, pastry). Alternatively Le Kreisker off the square for yummy crepes! Slight confusion on the name - it's Grand Hotel du Midi on the front of the building. The name New Hotel du Midi is only on a small wall plaque beside the door. Highly recommend Montpellier - the old town has some beautiful sights & buildings. Also, great bars & restaurants. Definitely recommend staying at this hotel. Would stay again if we returned to Montpellier.

Understanding the needs of a busy traveler
Everything about my stay was superb, but most of all the staff of this hotel went above an beyond to be gracious and helpful. After an unfortunate run-in with a freshly painted reception counter, the staff was agreeable and I found stain free clothes fresh from the cleaner immediately the next morning. Whenever I had a question about getting around or even about my next leg of my trip they were incredibly informative.

nice location, expensive for internet
Internet and meals at the hotel are extremely expensive, but otherwise the rooms were very clean and large for the area. The location is fantastic. Staff were not outgoing, but friendly when approached.

Idéalement situé (Place de la Comédie, quelques minutes à pied de la gare), très bien insonorisé. Chambre spacieuse et élégante. Petit déjeuner sans prétention, toutefois. Je le recommande et j'y retournerai sans hésitation.

Muy bien situado al lado de la Place de la Comedie, pero las habitaciones no son nada del otro mundo. El precio ademas es exagerado, contando ademas que el desayuno no esta incluido y el WiFi tampoco.

価格はやや高いけど、コメディ広場に面していて立地条件は最高で
価格はやや高いけど、コメディ広場に面していて立地条件は最高でした。部屋や廊下等は広く清潔で、ビュッフェ形式の朝食も良かったです。ただ、フロント付近にあるパソコンが利用できるが一台しかなく利用費も高いので、ネット環境が必要な人は注意が必要です。
