Dining
- Restaurant
- The LMB restaurant of Marseille found its way. Opened for 1 year now, the design place of the Vieux Port continues to be inspired by the Mediterranean Sea it is facing. Simplicity and pleasure are still the absolute priorities of the Restaurant, which takes up with the taste of the pure tradition: the Fish soup of the Old Port called Bouillabaisse. Obviously, between Local Fishes and Meats of very high quality, all the tastes will be delighted.

Clean and right in the center of town and 25 yards from the Metro. Too pricey though for what it is. You're much better finding something on your own like Ibis or Kyriad.

Small but clean room. Tight airconditioned space. Nice Shower. Great Location on the old harbour of Marseille. Lots of Restaurants within walking distance. Med beaches 5 minutes by car or by bus. Bus pickup at hotel. No pool at hotel. Charter boat service to isles from across the road. Friendly staff. Paid underground parking at hotel Euro 9.40 for 24 hours. 30 minutes from international airport Marseille/Marignane. 2 hrs by car from Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Monte Carlo. 90 mins from Saint Tropez.

Clean, well situated, not as advertised
Hotel saved the wrong room type for us. After a little negotiation, we got the right room. Hotel is well situated, but much smaller than its advertising pictures would indicate. Breakfast was acceptable in quality, but expensive. We thought next time we would try a different hotel for this price.

not a 4 star even by european standards
i am in france to see more of this region and purchase a small property in Provence and had not been to marseille; marseille will be the big city when i am here.Came in winter to see the worst time of year. Recover from travel before moving to my business part of trip. Hotel in great location for first time highlight type of visit and staff helpful and proper. Good price i suppose. Would be a true bargain if only it were really four stars. Stale smoke odor, smallest room with view of dirty laundry in back. Dirty, dingy carpets in halls and stairwells. Looked in larger room when maid was cleaning and it was not nicer, just larger and had view of port. Bathroom was nicest part of room. Small desk, cheap hard mattress and unfinished drywall around closet. No place to rest and chill, only sleep.

Did the splurge at Une Table Au Sud with wine pairings. Nice, but not memorable and won't return. The bouillabaise milkshake- skip it and go for the real thing elsewhere. will remember the chocolate sphere though, flambe whisky melts it suddenly and there is salted caramel inside. Torrefaccion Noailles cafe is really nice at counter and servers all super friendly. its on Caniebres street.

Great location
this is a great location on vieu port next to the coast line. There are several good french restaurants as well as art stands. 3 blocks away is a nice shopping area with Louis vuitton and other stores, just DO NOT GO ON SUNDAY! Everything in the area is closed! would have been 5 stars if we could have gotten a double bed instead of 2 singles, unfortunately all the double beds were booked.

Great Hotel in a super location
This hotel was convenient to everything. The restaurant that the hotel has was spotless and the food was very good. The hotel is just across the street from the harbor and sailing. We took a trip out to the islands and had dinner there. The view of Marseilles was fantastic. It was so peaceful and with the sounds of the water and the sky full of stars, it was beautiful.. When we returnedit was just across the street to our hotel.

Booked early so received discount
Booked early so received discount to €80 from €290 on room. Stayed 08Dec for one night. Very basic room but adequate for a night stop (we travelled for a football game). The location is very good - right on Vieux Port. The north east corner of Vieux Port. Good for shopping and restaurants. A taxi rank it on the corner and the metro across the road. Irish bars just along the road for pre-match drinks. A good price for room was obtained (Dec booking - made immediately after dates given for Champions League game - before they had time to load in the football surcharge), but the rack-rate would be far too high.
