Great value and near the city center.

A great little hotel with all the basic amenities you need for a short stay. The room we stayed in was very basic with a not so practical bathtub (no shower). The rooms where very clean and the staff friendly and with quite reasonable english skills. All in all good value for short stays.

Nice hotel on pedestrian street near Lyon Perrache trains

Stayed two nights. Very happy with the location as it is central to many places like the farmers market on Quai St-Antoine, restaurant street call Rue Merciere, also not far from the two rivers (Rhone and Saone) and the Basilica on Fourviere. Room size is OK. Heat and AC worked very well. Actually very much everything worked well. Wished they had coffee maker or at least a hot water kettle. Staff was friendly and spoke excellent English.

Convenience Hotel, Friendly Staff

This was an average, affordable hotel in a terrific location. It was small, clean, and fine for the 3 days we spent there. It is located on a pedestrian street with a lot of shops and within easy walking distance of Old Lyon and public transportation. The lobby and rooms were a bit outdated. The wireless was excellent throughout the hotel. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, a fine stay.

Great city center location

The location is difficult to find because of the crazy 1-way roads in the old city center but the directions we got with our reservation were accurate. The hotel desk staff were wonderful, spoke English well enough that between our very basic French and their English we could communicate easily. They gave us great advice on restaurants, things to see and reasonably priced, safe parking. The room was typical size for Europe, which was fine for us. Our only complaint was the mattress was quite old and the springs were poking through. We ended up taking the bedspread and putting it between the mattress and the sheets.

great value

Much of Lyon was closed for a holiday, but the desk personnel were very helpful directing us to good restaurants and shopping areas that might have open stores. The weather was very hot, the a/c very welcome! And the third bed was a real one!

One night stay

We stayed one night in July 2009 on our way to Nice. The hotel was pretty much as expected - clean and quiet (we did not have a street view). It was a bit difficult to find by car as it appears to be on a street which you can't drive on but you can actually drive right up to the hotel and unload. We initially parked at Place Bellacour but the hotel said we should probably move our car to a safer lot which he gave us easy directions to - a 5 minute walk from the hotel. All in all the hotel was what was expected but nothing fancy. My only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very strong so it was a bit warm.

Drive right up to the hotel and they will tell you easy directions to where to park the car. Don't park in Place Bellacour which is the main lot and first one you'll find in lyon near the hotel.
