The Balladins Lille Centre Gares Hotel welcomes you in their 71 relaxing & renovated rooms (with shower, doubles, twins, 4 people use rooms). Recently refurbished the hotel offers spacious, well-equipped and modern rooms. All of them provide hairdryers, flat screen cable television. The hotel also offers reception and smoke-free hotel. Breakfast is available : 10 euros per person.

Generally good, clean, slightly

Generally good, clean, slightly noisey due to bars and railway station (Could ask for a room at the back) but not surprising due to central location. Breakfast not bad and nice to be able to eat on the balcony, staff very friendly. Could read a paper through the towells and doorcardkey seems to need replacing evry few hours. Overall reasonable hotel and good value for money.

We checked in, were asked to pay

We checked in, were asked to pay the total bill for one night, given a room on 6th floor, then told that the lift was out of order, but to their credit offered to help with our bags. We opted for second floor room, and puffed up the stairs. The room was very,very,tiny, approx 10 metres square. The bathroom was so tiny that if one was over about 85kgs, they would have had difficulty getting past the door and basin and fixed shower screen to get to the toilet. If an old or sick person were to pass out or have a heart attack on the loo, if would have been impossible to rescue them without further causing injury. The door would need to be cut off. There was no telephone in the room at all. We believe that this hotel breaches basic safety requirements, at least as we understand them to be in Australia.

The room was small but clean and

The room was small but clean and modern. The hotel was in the process of re-building so the public areas were incomplete. The only negative was the lack of air conditioning but considering the cost and location, the hotel is good value for money. It is less than 10 minutes walk from EuroLillell and on the edge of the Old City.

This is a very good hotel as well

This is a very good hotel as well located in the centre of Lille where public transports are nearby located. The staffs are wonderful and very prompt to help. I will use this hotel anytime I am in Lille and will recommend it to anyone who will be travelling to Lille either on business or vacation.

Our room was at the front of the

Our room was at the front of the hotel and was very noisey. The bed was awful. I wouldnot stay there again as I had two very bad night sleeps.

Déception

Chambre calme certes mais exiguë, ça fait cher à 150 euros la nuit petit déjeuner non compris! Par ailleurs moquette tachée et salle de bain minuscule.Loin de valoir un standing 3 étoiles.

vue sur gare

la vue et la proximité de la gare est sûrement l'atout principal de l'hôtel.La chambre occupée n’était pas très grande et l'absence de salon et de lieu de détente en dehors de la chambre fait défaut pour un séjour de quatre jours.De plus si vous n'avez pas d'ordinateur avec vous aucun point net n'est disponible à proximité.Les chambres coté cour intérieure sont insuffisamment insonorisées pour ne pas entendre une ventilation mécanique d'un restaurant à coté.Arrivé à 11h la chambre n'est délivrée qu'a14 h même pour le dépôt des bagages.La consigne payante fait un peu mesquin par rapport au prix total du séjour.

Un rapport qualité-prix intéressant.

Un rapport qualité-prix intéressant. Nous avions quelques craintes en lisant les commentaires d'autres voyageurs, à tort. L'hôtel est moderne, propre et bien équipé. Bien sûr, vu la situation, face à la gare de Lille-Flandre, c'est un peu bruyant la nuit, mais l'insonorisation est acceptable.
