Park and Suites Elegance Gaillard

The location was infront of the main street. I was looking for a hotel called "Park and Suite", and I found a Hotel called "My Suite". Nothing similar! Nothing in the street that will cought my attention to the Hotel. I spent an hour looking around for the hotel. The building infront had better presentation, it gouth my attention, right away! At the reception, everybody spoke english, and they were pretending not to. Didn't look at you when they talk. Very unprofessional. Only one person did it. At the room, everything was in their own place, but i was afraid to touch anything. It didn't inspired my to touch or make something. I feel like to clean everything. No vaccum!!. Dirthy walls. Dirty bed sheets. The Shower Curtains were very dirty, actually yellow, but there were few white spots. Coming to the hotel after a long day and the bed were half made, bathroom unclean with changed towels, lights on and door close. I bought my desinfectant to clean everything (but this were suppost to be my vacations, Hello!!). In the kitchen, i clean everything befote used it. Even the walls were unclean. The kids room size was ok, but the bed was small. I was very worry about my belongings. I wanted to change Hotel as soon as I got there. I know there is a clouse that said we could do it soon after a day, and they said I had to talk to [...]. I could use my $5 calling card but not from the room, otherwise It could go beyond the minutes and you could ended up with extra charges. I have family in Switzerland, and my family is big, so I could recomend it, but unfortunately when my uncle saw the room didn't like at all, so....no chances to recomend it.

Positives: Location close to Geneva and motorways. Garage parking. Negatives: The hotel is poorly maintained. Lots of stains on drapes, carpet and furniture. It just feels dirty. Also didn't feel secure there after a drunk man from the street made it into the hotel and tried to steal my mobile phone from me by pretending to work for the hotel. The front desk couldn't have cared less when I alerted them.

Bathroom was shabby - paint peeling off the ceilingand mortar missing in some spots. Room was large and had a little separate kitchenette. Area was a little seedy and we could find nothing much open on a Sunday.

When you book this hotel, you may not at first realize that it is in France, just across the border from Switzerland, which might sound intimidating. I can say after staying there three nights that this is not that big of a deal. The hotel is under a 10 minute walk from the last stop on the No. 12 tram - with trams leaving constantly (I never waited more than 10 minutes) - and you will be in downtown Geneva within 20 minutes maximum. Considering this hotel is about 1/3 of the cost of a Geneva hotel, it's a pretty good deal if you are on your own dime. Don't go here looking to spend a lot of time in the hotel. The rooms are clean enough, and bare bones. The bed was fine, there were a decent amount of TV channels, and a solid free WiFi network. I don't know why you'd visit Geneva just to sit in a hotel room anyways. In summary, I would give the hotel a 3/5 stars and recommend you stay there if you don't mind a short (and panoramic) transit to downtown Geneva.

Icecold room Rock hard beds Worn down Noicy Road!!

Freundliche Bedienung, Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, Kochnische im Zimmer, Bad und WC getrennt, freie Parkplätze hinder dem Haus. Schlechte Zimmerreinigung, Mühl wurde nicht entsorgt, Geschier nicht gewaschen. Lage günstig, 2Min. bis ind Schweiz

Ensemble satisfaisant. Très bonne situation par rapport à Genève.
