urban hippy
your looking at stars because your on a budget, you get what you pay for.
basic at best. hygenic but not clean (ie state of repair). they were undergoing serious restoration while i was there so can't comment

Short walk from hotel
there's a lidl 1 minutes walk and a carrefour (supermarket) 3 mins away for cheaper food and drinks. the airport can be walked to for those on a serious budget and takes about 20 mins to french side on a quiet road.

The room was about 5 years overdue
The room was about 5 years overdue for a fresh coat of paint. Water stains on the walls from the window left open, paint splatters on another wall, and a very dirty wall near the desk. The showerhead was broken but servicable. If you don't have a car there is a bus stop to Geneva in front of the hotel. Vereny is a small town so not a lot to see on foot. The 7 Euro breakfast is acceptable. Staff was nice.

I wanted to stay close to the
I wanted to stay close to the airport but there was no shuttlebus to this hotel although there were to other hotels, and the taxi cost 20 euro each way. I had to pick up a code to get in from another hotel down a dark lane and when I got in to my hotel the corridoors were completely dark and it was hard to find my room. The room needed hoovering and the walls were stained. However the bed was comfy and the shower was strong and the place was totally quiet. The blankets on the bed were thin and stained, only the sheets and pillowcases were clean. For the extra 40 euro I spent on the taxis I am sure I could have stayed somewhere better. This place is a false economy and it is a very depressing place to stay.

This hotel is very basic and badly in need of a refit. I have stayed here a number of times because it is very close to Geneva airport on the french side. It is also relatively cheap. Not somewhere I would take my wife on holiday but good enough for ski buddies with an early morning flight.

Should be useful hotel for people
Should be useful hotel for people wanting overnight on French side of Geneva airport. BUT, stair ligthts not working; faulty bed side lights; corridor light not working. General sense of "Who cares?"

The Star Geneve Airport Hotel in Ferney Voltaire is a basic hotel within in easy reach of Geneva, 5 minutes from the border. Reasonably priced and clean but basic but perfect for accessing Geneva and for a nights sleep

good loction
This hotel is only good for overnight transit passenger. Staff are friendly the hotel is very poor for any services. Shortly is place to overnight one or two not more.
