The residence Eza Vista features 48 apartments and suites located in the beautiful Eze Village, between Nice and Monaco (8km). The charming medieval village of Eze hangs dramatically on a cliff 500 meters above the Mediterranean Sea and is a 5-minute walk from the Eza Vista, one of the very few accommodation options nearby. The helpful and service oriented staff assists customers to book excursions, restaurants or a taxi. The well-equipped apartments are spacious, contemporary and comfortable, with stunning views out to the sea or mountains. Each apartment features air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and living room with flat screen TV. The eco-friendly Eza Vista features a large outdoor swimming pool (open from June to September) and outdoor terrace to sun bathe and enjoy the breathtaking scenery. The hotel provides amenities like baby-sitting service, concierge and a tour desk, a bar (summer only), free WIFI, laundry service, lift/ elevator and parking facilities (at cost). In the lobby there is a computer with internet access is at the guests disposal. Pets are allowed. Breakfast is available from 8 to 10 am at 10 per adult and 7 per child (from the 14th of February 2015 the price of the breakfast changes to 11 per adult and 8 per child). Private Parking is available at 8 per day (10 from the 14th of February 2015). Within walking distance of the Eza Vista residence is the famous perfume factory and museum GALIMARD and the exotic gardens of Eze Village. A special treat is to follow the walking trail of the German philosopher Nietzsche down to the sea and the beach of Eze sur Mer (60-minutes walk) featuring 2 private beaches with restaurants. The beach of Eze sur Mer is of the best kept secrets on the Cote dAzur. The residence Eza Vista is a perfect base to discover the beautiful Cote Monegasque.

Excellent Modern Hotel/Motel

This is a new hotel/motel in Eze Village, on the Moyenne Corniche. It is a partly self-service residence hotel, meaning that the apartments have a working kitchen (with pots, pans, dishwasher, stove...but you have to get all of your own supplies) so that you can buy your own food and cook it. There are also laundry facilities. There is a swimming pool (not open except in summer) and there is plenty of parking in the underground garage. The suite we had(a one bedroom but with extra fold-out in the living room) was immaculately clean, well lit, well ventilated, well noise insulated and had a fine modern bathroom (towels and soap provided as were bedlinens) and an extra half bathroom with a john. Despite the "guests take care of themselves" premiss, a maid came every day to clean up. All apartments have a terrace looking out on Eze Village and the Mediterranean. We were there in late March, so off-season, and it was quiet and pleasant day and night. It is essential to have a car because, although there is bus service to Eze, it takes quite awhile to get there by bus. In addition to everything else, the price was certainly right: Much cheaper --- and better --- than staying in Nice, Monaco, Beausoleil or Menton, leaving plenty of money to rent a car. The staff were present from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. (10 p.m. in summer) and were friendly and helpful and speak good English. Breakfast is available (and good) for 10 Euros for adults. Otherwise, it's cook it yourself (a very nice market just down the street) or eat at one of the many restaurants in Eze Village (or wherever else you care to drive). Eze Village is about 5 km from Monaco and about 8 km from Nice on the Moyenne Corniche and 22 km to Nice Airport by autoroute (getting off at La Turbie). Just one thing about driving, except for the autoroute, all of the roads are narrow and have many curves. In summer, there is a great deal of traffic. So, you have to be a good, patient, and attentive driver. We think this hotel/motel is a great bargain particularly for friends or family traveling together and who want to spend several days on the Cote d'Azure. Because of its location, it is not a place to stay if you are only spending one or two nights unless you are traveling by car.

As stated, the location of this hotel/motel makes having a car a necessity. It is best for a stay of several days (we stayed for five) although for those who are travelling by car, it would be perfectly fine for an overnight. Please note that it is NOT convenient to the train station at Eze Bord-de-Mer.
