Chamonix

Very courteous front desk staff. Room nice, albeit your typical European size room. Balcony had view of Mont Blanc. Next to little river running through the town. Two minute walk from the Aiguille-du-midi cable car (a must do in the summer if the visibility is good). Restaurant in the hotel was a bit more upscale than I expected. Fine dining; go elsewhere if you want something simpler and/or more choices. Nice little selection for the breakfast buffet.
