HORRIBLE!!!
Worst reception staff ever! Dirty room in dire need of renovation! Some say it's old with character - they confuse this description with decrepid! I've traveled around the world and this was the worst hotel; especially for the money, which I have asked a refund of due to the misleading reviews I read prior to booking. I can only presume that the review was written by a hotel employee trying to lure first-time, unwary customers! Buyer (visitor) Beware!

hotel is near the train station and is very basic, so if that is what you need for the night this hotel is for you. We found the staff very unhelpful, the bed creaky, the pillows hard but the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. Also it is about a 25 minute walk to the Walled City from this hotel; for some reason we thought from previous reviews that it was much, much closer.

One staff member - Ludmia - was always very helpful. The rest were not interested when we complained, on each of the three mornings we were there, that tables previously used for breakfast had not been reset and food was not re-stocked. Our only advice was to arrive at 7am to get food before people from the two or three tour buses arrived and cleared out the food. There was no compensation for lack of food. Also we had difficulty booking an extra day (the initial booking was for two days and we had to increase it at the last minute). We understood that we had to pay the full rate for the third day including an amount for breakfast (13 Euro each). The 26 Euros was irksome considering there was minimal food as explained above.

The Old City in France
Good location for our chosen activities (Old City, sailing the Canal), plus shopping. People were pleasant, but I had the distinct impression they did not like this bi-racial couple. Room was clean but small; we were given twin beds rather then requested double bed; hotel dining was very good. Shopping area was unique. We walked about quite a distance and enjoyed the city bocce ball competitions.

This is not the 'big city' but a slower paced middle sized town of 45,000. We could have spent a couple more days just getting to know a 'slice of France.'

Good Choice
The Hotel is old but clean and nice beds, small pool on basement, nice staff, in front of a commercial zone, Garage 6 Euros/day in front of the hotel (closed on Sundays), Supermarket and Mc Donalds in front of the hotel

la climatisation ne fonctionnait
la climatisation ne fonctionnait pas. nous avons trouve un couteau en plastic sale sous le lit. le petit djeuner trs bon, sauf le caf apparemment fait a partir de lyophilise.
