Typical Ibis. Clean and modern but almost stark. We stayed there during the maritime festival bebause it was the only vacancy I found (except for a few with exorbitant rates) about eight months before the festival.
It's a few miles out of town,
and more suited to automobile travellers. But the tram into town is only about a half mile walk (and costs only two euros for an all-day pass). Although the tram is over-crowded and can be an experience to ride.
We had two dinners at the hotel, primarily because iwas so far from town. One was superb, especially for the price. The other still good. The breakfase buffet was good in concept but they were virtually always behind; several menu items and dish/silverware/glass items were always out. The staff varied from very good to indifferent. My medium staff rating is largely because of the poor performance at breakfast. My perception was that they were under-staffed, not that anyone (other than management) was slacking.
