The hotel is convenient to tour the city monuments and historic area. But the air circlation in the hotel is not that good, you could smell something when you step in the elevator and the hallway of the floor.

Great location
Excellent location. Walking distance to several sites and Tram is only a blcok away. The hotel is nice, clean and employees friendly. Fast check in and out. Only draw back... only one elevator working. Would recommended to anyone going to
visit the city.

very friendly to solo trqveler
The Mercure is a very spacious hotel. The breakfast bar included a wide assortment of pastries and breads, along with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cheese! The eggs were an especially welcome treat! In my 20
years of traveling in Europe I have seldom been served eggs for breakfast! The room was tastefully decorated with lots of room to walk around and stretch. The bathroom was also quite spacious, with plenty of room on the sink for feminine accoutrements. Closet space, additional pillows and blankets, soundproof walls and windows, all contributed to the very fine experience I had over my 6 day stay. The only drawback to the hotel is that there are few restaurants in the immediate vicinity. However, there are many within a short walking distance, and there is a large grocery store Auchon located in the indoor mall across the street.

Short walk from hotel
In the nearby pedestrian zone there is a lovely tea and chocolate cafe which serves heavenly hot chocolate, the thick creamy kind you need a spoon to eat.
