Clean, convenient, and friendly
I recently stayed at the Hotel du Faisan during a conference in Bordeaux. After a 16 hour trip, I was delighted to walk out of the train station and have a 30 second walk to my hotel. The front desk staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful. The location is a 5 minute walk to the river and 15-25 minute walk to the heart of the city. For health conscious eaters, the free breakfast offers fruit, muesli, and boiled eggs in addition to the usual pastries. Rooms are small but clean and comfortable. Internet fast and reliable. Great value!

The first thing that this hotel
The first thing that this hotel has going for it is location: right across the road from St Jean railway station. But it has a few more: the rooms , while not particularly spacious, are clean and well presented, the beds comfortable, the en suite clean and the supply of hot water plentiful. Reception are cheerful and helpful with good English. The hotel offers a range of other services including WiFi and baggage storage. Continental breakfast has plenty of variety and is well presented. Recommended.

I am most impressed by the helpfulness

Nice hotel! Just in front of St.
Nice hotel! Just in front of St. Jean Railway station, very convenient. You can easily take the tram to city, around 15 mins then you are in the central. The receptions are very friendly and helpful. Bathroom door is the only thing i don't like - transparent, not private enough!!

Great location immediately across
Great location immediately across the road from the railway station. Lovely receptionists who were very helpful and never treated us like we were asking dumb questions which we probably were.

There was no air-conditioning
There was no air-conditioning in my hotel room. The overhead fan was extremely loud when trying to sleep. Therefore the room was hot and stuffy. Opening the window was not an option as the hotel backs onto a main city area.
