City Residence Bordeaux Centre

This apartment-hotel had basic furnishings, but very clean, well maintained, and in great condition. Amenities included digital television (HD, TNT), refrigerator, stove, and a full set of plates, cutlery, coffee pot, etc. They also had free Wifi (but see below). They also had a direct phone number to the room (free for incoming, pay for calling). The staff were very friendly. I had only two or three smaller issues: (1) As with many apartment-hotels, the hours are limited. In particular, 8:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Saturday, something similar on Sunday; and the reception closes at 8 p.m. on weekdays. There's a code and key card to enter at other times. My airplane was late, and I hadn't thought about calling them in advance in case my airplane was late. Be sure to call. (They didn't put their e-mail on their web site. So, call by phone.) (2) The hotel is hidden in an out-of-the-way plaza. It's only three blocks from the tram stop "Cours du Medoc". But print out a map in advance if you want to find the hotel easily. (3) I have Linux on my laptop and at work. Their free Wifi was blocking the "ssh" protocol that is commonly used for Linux. I could surf the web, but I could not connect to my work computer because they block "ssh".

Excellent place too stay, bid hard too find but that was probably my own fault. Very secure parking and just a 5 minute walk to main street and tram. I would highly recommend this hotel/apartment and would use it again if ever back in Bordeaux. Great prices as well.

I booked 2 nights before finding reviews for this appartment hotel on other sites. These were not all good, so we were a little anxious before arriving. No need ! The location is splendid, being in an area that has recently been revovated. It is surrounded by small arty places and a three minute walk from the river front where former "hangers" have been transormed into restaurants, bars and outlet shops for the big brands. The lady on reception was charming, and parking at the hotel was secure (though the area didn't seem at all "insecure"). The room was a good size and the mini-kitchen could have been used to make a good meal (but we ate out). Breakfast was offered at € 8, but we walked round the corner to a little sandwich cafe called "Faim a pain" and had a good breakfast for half the price. The tram to the center stops close by and it's easy and cheap to use - the jouney is less than 10 minutes.

Although not in the centre, this is only three tram stops away. A slightly tired residence, with scuffs to the bedroom walls, shower fittings not fixed and sink takes an age to clear. It seems they do not have a regular fix-it man to attend to these things, as many apart-hotels do. The apartments with an upstairs bed are far better than the studios, which have sinking sofa beds, not to good for the back. They do not distinguish between smokers and non-smokers, so I had to leave the window open for a couple of days to remove the smell. There are some good breakfast places on the mail road next to the river, a couple of minutes away and breakfast/lunch place very close with free wifi. (much better than the high price charged by Apartvalley) Also good restaurants near, on hanger 15, near the river. Secure parking facilities are good. It is somewhat downmarket. I have stayed there 3 times, but opted to stay elsewhere after a few days. Am not sure if I will stay again.

Correct, tranquille et propre Trés simple mais pratique

我在此旅舍住咗4曰於二零一一年五月入住 好嘅係平。有煮食地方/雪柜。旅舍附近有小型超級市場。泊車一晚都係五歐元。每次入住四小時唔駛錢上網。但上網勁慢。廁所十分清潔 唔好係；如果你睇指南介紹話十分鐘行到市中心就大錯（我識路都行咗半粒鐘) -但如果坐b線電車出市中心只係五分鐘

Le lieu est intéressant, dans un quartier vivant (surtout le dimanche matin), pour autant la chambre est très calme. Les equipements ne fonctionnent pas toujours, mais l'accueil est particulièrement chaleureux et la personne en charge de l'accueil trouvera toujours une solution si vous rencontrez un probleme. Bon rapport qualité/prix

Le sourire à l'acceuil est en option les prestations promises au tel la veille n'étatient pas faites on a plus l'impression de déranger

if you want to have a little kitchen, fridge ..choose appartvalley. Except for internet missing and expensive at the residence.
