This is a beautiful property, full of tradition and the local culture. The wonderful garden is an oasis of peace and quiet. ( 0608/ss ) The exterior is a traditional building. Situated in attractive gardens within the city center opposite the historic city centre, this hotel is a converted 17th century carmelite convent of great character.

Great Location

The location of this hotel was perfect. We could walk right across the street to the old area of town which made our stay so much more relaxing. The grounds are lovely and the staff very attentive. We did feel that the rooms could use a little updating. But all in all it was a pleasant, comfortable hotel.

My review of Hotel Jules Cesar

It?s a nice hotel, but I wouldn?t agree that it?s a luxury hotel(it's a member of Small Luxury Hotels). For first impressions, there?s no ramp up the front stairs from the street for rolling luggage. And the only way to get in is through a cramped revolving door ? nearly impossible with two pieces of luggage. Also we couldn?t make our room dark because a missing window handle prevented us from closing the shutters. The service is attentive and friendly, the lobby is vast, the pool is a terrific plus, as is the location - so convenient to the historic center, and the view of the cloister garden from many rooms is a plus.
