We stayed at the hotel for five days, using Arles as a base for exploring Provence. It is located on a quiet street in the center of the old city, about 10 minutes walk from the train station. The hotel is in a beautiful old building, carefully restored and updated. The staff is very attentive and caring. The downsides are lack of an elevator -- we loved the high ceilings but that makes for long stair climbs. Another thing missing was a dresser or anything with drawers in our room; even a luggage rack would have been helpful. The breakfast was served in a beautiful downstairs dining room and included fresh-squeezed orange juice (we saw crates of oranges brought in), but it would benefit from addition of some cheese or yogurt. One gets tired of five straight days of even the best croissants! Internet connection is readily availble on the ground floor, but thick walls made it hard to connect to wi-fi from our room. Two laptops for guest use were avalble at all times. Overall, a great place that gives one a good sense of living in a middle of an ancient walled city.

This hotel is centrally located very close to the Roman ruins. Very conveniently located, though the streets were a bit dark and deserted at night. The hotel itself was quite nice on the inside, and our room was surprisingly spacious. There's no elevator though, and the semi-spiral staircase to the upper floors is a bit narrow and steep. Also, our room safe was stuck in the open position, so we couldn't use it. The staff was very helpful, giving us directions and letting us borrow a corkscrew and some wine glasses for the duration of our stay.
