Just outside the old town. The room was smallish but comfortable.
It has the items you expect at an american hotel, including courtesy coffee in the room, and wall to wall carpet instead of hard wood floors.

We had a room for a family of 4 for 2 nights to visit Arles and Avignon. It's a pleasant short drive to Avignon for a day trip and also to see the Pont du Gard. The room was comfortable, staffs friendly and speak English. Parking is 14€ per night
in the basement. You probably can find a free space along the street overnight but we don't want to deal with it. We did not have breakfast in the hotel and found a couple excellent Patisserie, 1 a few blocks behind the hotel and one one the main street as you drive out of rue Emile and turn right.

In France, the inside route is much more beautiful and if you can, skip the autoroute. We drive from Avignon to Nice via mostly inside route and passed many interesting villages.
