Centrally located close to Turku bus station, this intimate hotel offers basic, functional guest rooms as well as a free breakfast buffet and complimentary Wi-Fi. The fresh, brightly decorated guest rooms at Hotel Helmi feature comfortable beds from Unikulma. Each room is soundproofed to provide a peaceful and relaxing environment. Guests can borrow ironing facilities at the hotel reception. Store your food and drinks in the refrigerator in your room. Guests at Helmi have access to a coffee and tea automat at all hours. Take the opportunity to visit Moomin World, which is located only 16 kilometers from Turku and offers many attractions for both young and old. PLEASE NOTE! Reception is open until 6 pm. If you will arrive outside of these times, please contact reception in advance.

Very good hotel in a convenient location

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but cozy and very clean; the bed was a bit too soft, but if you're tired it is no big deal. The breakfast buffet was great - delicious and filling. The hotel is located right at the bus station, so if you're taking a bus from Helsinki, it's right there. And then, it's a very short (~7-10 minute) walk to the Turku Cathedral and to the Kauppatori (Market Square). However, I was disappointed that the hotel does not have a sauna.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

Naantali is a very beautiful harbor about 15km away from Turku. There are also two buses (110 and 11) that go there from the Kauppatori. Naantali is famous for its spas, and Moomin World - a children's theme park based on Tove Jansson's famous Moomin series.
