Friendly and stylish, the Scandic Continental Helsinki is packed with comfort, amenities and thoughtful services. Great Location - Accessible
This is a very solid basic hotel in a good location - near, but not in the center, 2 short tram stops from the RR station and about 5 minutes (tram) from Senate Square. Breakfast buffet (included) is very substantive. Front desk staff very, very helpful in English or Finnish. Only problem - no self-service laundry. Otherwise, great.

First day there were no shampoo at the room. Room was small and not new furbished.(For that price level it should be newer.)

OK Cheap but tired
The staff are good. The whole hotel is tired. I believe they are about to start an upgrade process.

Tired but convenient
The rooms are somewhat old and tired and the bathroom layout could be better. Beds are a little firm for my taste. However, the staff is excellent, the included breakfast buffet has a broad selection, the sauna is a nice added amenity, and the location is very convenient (although not in the city center, it is a 3 minute tram ride away; easy walk to Opera, national museum and Sibelius monument; the Finnair airport bus also stops just outside the hotel). There are also at least three very good restaurants within 2 blocks.

Good price and helpful service
This hotel was in a good location for connections. They were very accommodating - answering any questions we had. They were able to store some of our luggage as we traveled to Russia. We were delighted with the various and plentiful selections on the breakfast buffet - something for everyone's tastes. We also enjoyed a meal in their restaurant - delicately prepared.

Very good for the money. Great breakfast. Nice people. Quiet room. Dinner so-so at best. Older and showing signs of wear.

the room was a bit dirty with
the room was a bit dirty with a chewing gum sticking from the painting and stained cirtains that you unfortunately have to pull since its 15 hours a day in Helsinki! Other than that no problems! The price was very good and the breakfast is highly recommended!
